We recently travelled from East Looe where we were staying on holiday to The Minack Theatre to see the matinee performance of "Wild Oats". We didn't know what to expect of this 'outside theatre'! It was awesome. A fun production in an absolutely fantastic setting. The backdrop was incredible, the staff so friendly and organised when showing people to their... More

Recommended by a friend and so glad we went. We booked story telling which was the same price as a visit but entertained our daughter. This did mean it was very busy afterwards whilst we looked round. Amazing Theater and fascinating history and stunning views. Lovely facilities and very friendly staff, I would love to return for a full production,... More

We could not come to Cornwall without visiting The Minack Theatre again. Brilliant setting. Glad we booked before we came on holiday. Lovely helpful staff. Views never to forget. Sorry actors, i did enjoy the play/show, but did get carried away sometimes with the fantastic views/backdrop!!!! We were lucky enough again with the weather.Lovely to see that you can still... i have beenvisiting here since I was a child more than 50 years ago and it never ceases to take my breath away. The backdrop of the sea behind the stage and the steep rake of the seating is a stunning setting even if you aren't watching a stage production.

Went to the Matinee of "Wild Oats" by the Shattered Windscreen Company. The production was absolutely hilarious. We were lucky as it was a glorious sunny afternoon and the views (as always) were stunning.

A perfect evening - if suitably dressed ie woolly hats, scarves, blankets, socks and boots. Take a picnic and bottle of something but eat before the performance starts. Very irritating listening to Neanderthals unwrapping plastic wrappers throughout the performance.

free parking and a nice café. the theatre was an amazing sight and the views to die for. the story of how the hole place was built was incredible, if you are a little doddery on your feet there are some big steps but if you didn't want to venture down to the bottom the sights from the top are... This theatre is in a really beautiful spot right on the coast of Cornwall, you overlook the beach at porthcurno. The ambience here is lovely although we didn't watch a performance, would recommend a visit as you get to walk on the stage and all around the seats and garden. The views are stunning and the way it is built... More

The theatre is worth a visit anytime but obviously better to see a production. Take your picnic, need to arrive early to get a decent seat as its "first come first served" for seating.

Brilliant theatre set in the rocks with stunning sea views and tropical gardens. We saw 'Our Country's Good' which was an excellent and moving play. Can't believe the actors were all amateurs. A 'must see' place to visit
