On our trip to Cornwall I had planned a trip to here for the children. My first mistake was thinking this would compare with zoos such as London Zoo, Colchester and even Paignton. Sadly this was not to be the case as soon as we entered we saw a lot of ducks in the water but not so much of... More

Very reasonable prices and fantastic animals. We did the penguin experience and it was unbelievable! We got to hand feed the penguins and even stroke one that was hand reared.

What a lovely place to visit! Me and my family went on a wet and windy day but we still weren't disappointed! There was a lovely variety of things to see and do, even while it was pouring down. One of my favorite parts of the zoo was seeing the Lion because it was up and walking around in its... More

Daughters choice for her birthday and we were very pleasantly surprised. Some animals we had not seen before and great displays all round. Highlights were otter nests at kids eye level. Lioness looking us in the eye through the glass. Male lion roaring away. Lynx feeding. And various marmosettes having a laugh. Good talks from the keepers as well. Only... More

Not sure how to rate this zoo because I really enjoyed my time there but as someone has already commented, it is what it is. It cost £38.50 for a family ticket and another £9.05 for an extra child. it mainly houses small and medium sized animals. Don't expect elephants and giraffes although they did have a lion. There is... More

Lovely little zoo with great play area for the children, plus free as we were members if Colchester Zoo which made the day great as free too.

I have mixed feelings on Newquay Zoo. I was unimpressed to have booked online and printed my own tickets to turn up and have to queue with everyone else who was paying on the day. A family ticket is around £50. You can return to the Zoo within a week for free but for some odd reason this cant be... More

I suppose we've been spoilt in recent years with visits to a number of beautiful and large Zoos in France, so I didn't hold out much hope for this one. It is, let's face it a small Zoo with unspectacular animals. The best being the Meercat enclosure which let's you get up close to the little things. The grounds are... More

Quite a small zoo but really well maintained. The ticket we brought allowed us 7day access so we managed to go twice. A good range of animals and easy access for push and wheel chairs. The kids fed the penguins some fish and enjoyed the garden maze. I thought this zoo was really nice and a great place to visit.
