Description: Set in lush sub-tropical gardens, Newquay Zoo is home to more than 1,000...
Set in lush sub-tropical gardens, Newquay Zoo is home to more than 1,000 of the world's rare and exciting creatures. Just a short walk from Newquay's town centre and world famous surfing beaches, the Zoo is both one of Cornwall's most exciting visitor attractions and a leading conservation charity. It's the only place in Cornwall where you can see lions devour their lunch before taking a leisurely stroll through a tropical rainforest, surrounded by free flying birds. Keeper talks and animal feeds take place throughout the day but if you fancy an even closer animal encounter we offer visitors the chance to meet and feed our cheeky lemurs, friendly penguins and impossibly cute meerkats! See wildebeest, waterbuck, nyala antelope and zebra roaming in our African Savannah and enjoy some familiar faces in The Village Farm - one of our most popular exhibits which includes many children's favourites such as pot-bellied pigs, African pygmy goats, turkeys and striped squirrels. And if all that isn't enough to keep the kids amused, we also have activity trails, face painting, a children's play area, dragon maze...and much more. Besides enjoying a great family day out, when you visit Newquay Zoo you'll also be supporting our vital education, research and conservation work, all designed to protect endangered animals from extinction. We're playing a key role in the international effort to save animals through conservation breeding.

Hie n mum visited the zoo during our stay in Newquay after a short walk from our Hotel. Well worth the money, the lady at the entrance said we can use the ticket as many times as we want during the week as long as she took our photo to go on their data base which I found really good.There... More

We booked sometime ago a Junior Keeper Experience for our son's 8th birthday on 17th August when we would be in Cornwall on holiday and he had the best time of his life, he was so excited at feeding all the various animals and especially going in with the Meerkats to feed them. This was excellent value, we would highly... More

generally pretty good- some animals weren't visible on our visit- like the red panda and the fossa, but the lynx was fantastic and the goat-petting area was really nice, too

Excellent Zoo with ample parking in the top field (past waterworld). Good selection of animals and activities for children. Great that you can revisit up to 7 days on the same ticket. Definitely recommend taking a packed lunch to each on the benches there or grassed areas as the café was crazy busy which made it uncomfortable. Gift shop on... More

Very disappointed but that is because we have all seen the wildlife in the wild out in Africa. Entry is expensive even for a family price.

It is a shame you feel this way about Newquay Zoo. We have over 1,000 animals here at Newquay Zoo with animal welfare being our main priority. We have even more new enclosures on the way! We understand we are a smaller zoo. However, we are limited in expanding the zoo and we house many endangered species which are rare... More

This is a lovely zoo considering its so close to us, but it's obviously not as good as some of the bigger ones. Good range of animals but some of the enclosures look a bit cramped.

We took our children here for the first time whilst on holiday. The one thing I will point out is the prices given will automatically include an extra gift aid charge which you then have to tell them if you don't want it which I don't like having to do to be honest. I'd rather have it the other way... More
