The location kind of sprang upon, weve been to a lot of zoos and to be honest, this is probably one of the poorest.. The zoo was surprising small, i hoped it would have the wow factor, especially considering the door price but it didnt. It felt dated and unloved and sparse. Im hoping its in next years budget to... We visited during the Easter holidays and even then it was not too crowded. I liked the feel of the zoo it is easy to get round and the staff very knowledgable and passionate about the animals. They announce when things are happening so you do not miss anything. The admission price is quite reasonable but do be prepared you... More

Lovely small zoo, but even though small has a lot to offer. There are lots for both the young and old to enjoy.

We had a trip here as our 3 year old son is mad on animals, he loved every min. There always seemed to be something to see round every corner you go round or come out of somewhere. We spend almost 2 hours here. Parking isn't brilliant as it's shared with swimming pool and is a parking meter car park.... More

I checked out newq zoo on there site, to check prices I was dissapointed to read that if I wasn't willing to pay the gift aid admission fee £4.50 extra for a family ticket I would not be supporting the conservation! I feel if the admission prices were slightly lower more people would be willing to donate! Or as the... More

We visited the zoo for a day out, expecting it to be bigger than it was. The entry price is not too bad although for a family is an expensive day out for a family. The zoo is well laid out and there are a variety of animals to see. Some of the enclosures looked very small especially the Lions... More

Visited here for the day and although we had a good day I have to say that the enclosures are small. The little café in the middle of the zoo wasn't very nice either...after waiting a good 10mins for the food to be cooked the burgers came out ice cold and the milkshake was warm!! Wouldn't go back again

Visited this zoo on a trip to Newquay with my partner. It is extremely overpriced for the size of the place. I have never seen animals look so miserable. The lion in closure was horrific dogs in kennels have more room. The floor was dirty and there was scratches on the walls where the lion has obviously got very board.... More

As we are annual members of Paignton Zoo we did not have to pay admission to Newquay Zoo, however compared to Paignton it is the poor relation. It is a nice little zoo with a variety of animals, the facilities are clean & tidy, there was a range of coffee and ice cream stands, plenty of picnic benches to sit... More
