We visited with our 2 grand-daughters for first and last time, hardly any animals to view and enclosures are not visible enough for toddlers in pushchairs, so had to keep getting them out and carrying them to see things. Bad start as we had a discount voucher to use only tobe told they dont do discount anymore. Thought it looked... More

This is a very pleasant way to spend a sunny, warm day. Whilst the zoo is only moderate in size, it is extremely well laid out with a very good 'flow' to it; myself and my wife spent a good 4 plus hours here. The animals all seem very well cared for, and in very good health. The enclosures are... More

We read a few reviews on TripAdvisor with people moaning and whinging that the zoo was too small. However, we beg to differ as we found plenty there to sustain our interest for the duration of the day. We were there from the time it opened until almost the time that it closed. This proved to be fruitful as certain... More

Many of our visitors like to make use of the 7-day free pass as they tell us they can't fit everything into one visit. Besides being home to more than 1,000 animals we also offer a wide range of activities... More

The highlight of my visit was the the prearranged feeding of the Ring-Tailed Lemurs. My friend and I were led into the enclosed area by a young lady named Tracy who was well informed about their habits and knew all of the 20 some Lemurs by name! We had plenty of time to take pictures of the Lemurs jumping and... More

We arrived at the Zoo this is still brilliant. Only Grudge is below. We still can not get my head around the parking, who at the Council, came up with the idea of paying, not that I minded paying. The problem is if you are going to the Zoo how are you supposed to know how long it takes to... More

Thanks very much for your comments. We're so pleased you enjoyed your visit to Newquay Zoo. The car park directly outside the Zoo is owned by Cornwall Council so we have no control over parking fees. There are no charges in the winter months and there is ample free parking alongside the boating lake just a few minutes' walk away.... More

And he has a massive roar to match his size - it can be heard for miles around the Zoo!! Our animal feeding sessions are always a firm favourite with visitors. I think it was an ok way to spend a few hours but I did expect a little bit more. Don't think it was good value for money. Couldn't find any animals in several of the exhibits, I know that you can't force animals to stand an pose for tourists but it wasn't just a couple of animals we didn't... More

Fantastic day out for my partner and I! Very reasonably priced entrance fee. We learnt a lot about the animals and liked that they had a farm section as well as the exotic animals. We saw the penguin talk and they were selling fish at 50p each so that you could feed them yourselves as well - that was incredible,... More

Thanks for your feedback. We think you must have visited on a day when our Tippy's snack bar was closed which it was on a couple of occasions this month. Out of high season we operate the snack bar according to visitor numbers and weather conditions, but our Café Lemur is open all day, all year round, offering a wide... More

Thanks so much for the great review. We're thrilled to hear you had such a good time. You're so right about the importance of not rushing - many of our 1,000+ animals are active at different times of the day so we advise visitors to return to an enclosure at different times if they don't see a particular animal during...
