Description: Set in lush sub-tropical gardens, Newquay Zoo is home to more than 1,000...
Set in lush sub-tropical gardens, Newquay Zoo is home to more than 1,000 of the world's rare and exciting creatures. Just a short walk from Newquay's town centre and world famous surfing beaches, the Zoo is both one of Cornwall's most exciting visitor attractions and a leading conservation charity. It's the only place in Cornwall where you can see lions devour their lunch before taking a leisurely stroll through a tropical rainforest, surrounded by free flying birds. Keeper talks and animal feeds take place throughout the day but if you fancy an even closer animal encounter we offer visitors the chance to meet and feed our cheeky lemurs, friendly penguins and impossibly cute meerkats! See wildebeest, waterbuck, nyala antelope and zebra roaming in our African Savannah and enjoy some familiar faces in The Village Farm - one of our most popular exhibits which includes many children's favourites such as pot-bellied pigs, African pygmy goats, turkeys and striped squirrels. And if all that isn't enough to keep the kids amused, we also have activity trails, face painting, a children's play area, dragon maze...and much more. Besides enjoying a great family day out, when you visit Newquay Zoo you'll also be supporting our vital education, research and conservation work, all designed to protect endangered animals from extinction. We're playing a key role in the international effort to save animals through conservation breeding.

Took our Grandson for his 3rd birthday and he loved it. Plenty to do and see. I'm disabled and the accessibility was very good, plenty of seating areas, and toilets. The place was clean and tidy, the staff very friendly and approachable. We were given a little map of the site on arrival. We had lunch in the cafe, the... More

Went with the children to the Newquay Zoo. It's quite small however there was a good variety of animals to see. The price was not too bad for a family tickets. And the children loved running around the Dragon Maze and going through the Tarzan Trail as well as the slide. I found that some of the enclosures were a... More

What suprised me the most was it was like a jungle! Esp the forest-like trees and waters for the birds! It's not boring at all! However, I feel so sad for the Lions that they got so tiny space in a big cage.

A good family day out. Plenty to see and to keep kids entertained. Good animal talks and excellent face painters. There is also a good offer to revisit during the same week for free.

As I said it's not the best of zoos. But it still makes for an enjoyable afternoon. Some of the exhibits are within a lake so the animals are far away. We didn't see about a quarter of the animals there due to them sleeping or whatever it was. It's not expensive to get in. So because of this I... More

On our recent holiday we had a trip to Newquay, unfortunatly felt a bit like an upper class Blackpool. So as we sat there wondering what we were going to do with the rest of our day my partner put forwards Newquay Zoo, now im not the biggest fan of zoo's, its not the fact that their caged up just......
