What has happened to the sand, it used to be nice underfoot but this year it has become very shaley (crushed shells) very uncomfortable on bare feet so make sure you bring the flip flops. We chose to use the Great Western beach instead, it's the next beach down but the sand quality is much better.

Never been on a surf board before? Do not worry as you will love this class. Totally relax and by the end of the session, you will stand up on the surfboard and have lots of fun! Instructor Tony totally awesome making sure everyone surfing and guaranteed to have a great time. Our teenage boy now hooked!

Tolcarne is a privately owned beach adjoining Newquay. When the tide is out you can walk to Newquay or Lusty Glaze. The sand is nice, and well maintained. The sea is lovely and clean. There is some great rock pooling to be done and also caves to explore! Newquay is obviously known for its surfing, and the waves can be... More

This was my favorite beach I went to in Newquay, in fact I went every day I was here. A lot quieter than the others I found, but still very easy to access (both ramp and stairs). You have to walk out a bit before you get to the really nice sand, but this is NOT a pebble beach, the... More

if you like steps, then take a trip down to a fabulous beach, away from the business of town and find a place anywhere on a very safe and fabulous beach, café and restaurant on hand also. If the tide is right you can walk round all the way to the harbour from here to.

Easily the best beach in Newquay...the best beach I've ever been to in the UK....simply beautiful...not as crowded as other beaches in Newquay either and has cheap wetsuit/surfboard hire available...aswell as a lovely restaurant 'the breaks' and cafe type place also...everything you need 😊 the sand is golden and the sea is clean and warm...and when I went the waves...
