Great Beach

We go to this beach a lot, excellent for quitter surfing. Dog friendly and right next to town. Rent a board from the place on the beach - they are great :-)

This beach is located in the centre of Newquay with walkabout bar overlooking it. It's a clean beach and nice soft sand. It's not as good as fistral beach but still nice and not so much of a walk. As most beaches in Newquay you will find surfers here most of the time.

Tolcarne is a nice beach, and there is certainly nothing wrong wit it in any way. Having said that, it is one of the most central beaches in Newquay, and as a result, gets extremely busy in the peak summer periods...not a bad thing per se, but it's not as quiet or secluded as many of the other relatively local... Nice sandy beach with areas of rock pools. Plenty of surfers when we went and tide was in so water was nice a close. Very near to town centre.

Lovely clean beach with the added bonus of it being dog free which means you can walk freely without worrying about treading in dog poo. All the other beaches in Newquay appear to be open dog toilets in the winter months.

Disliked The only beach along the front of Newquay.which is a shame as its in a lovely cove and protected from high winds. Likes Nothing to like

Stayed at Rocklands that overlooks Tolcarne beach. A great clean beach loved it. Can't really fault the beach.
