I'm giving an average review only because when we got here we found it is currently shut for renovations until Feb 2015. None of the local guides or local app mentions this.

We visited here with our 5 and 11 year old. I was worried that maybe the 11yr old would find it boring but she enjoyed it and learnt some new things from the pirates talks which is always a bonus. The whole experience lasts about 30 minutes which was about right. Some of the models etc I feel will need... More

We loved going to buccaneer bay because its an inside attraction and its quite interesting to find out a little bit about pirates, it is for younger children though because i went with my family and were all over 14 years of age. It was a bit stupid at times and a bit cheesy! One thing me and my brother... More

We visited with our two children aged 1 & 7. The pirates were funny and the experience was scary at times but all exciting too. Nothing too serious. What a great way to find out about cornish pirates. I'd recommend this attraction.

Took my grandsons and I was a bit dissapointed. Guides didn't seem able to pitch their chat relevant to the age of my grandsons, 6 and 7, insisted on going through lots of detail the boys did understand, made them put their hands up to ask questions, made them wait to the end of their chat to answer even though... Myself and my fiance visited here today and had a great adventure. We were led around by a pair of pirates, who were very knowledgeable and entertaining. The children who were there were well catered for and looked after.

We had the pleasure of a guided tour by pirates Anne Bonny and John Hawkins who were both fabulous. They kept all of us entertained (age 3 up) with lots of tongue in cheek jokes interspersed between interesting facts about life in Cornwall in the pirate days. A well thought out attraction for Newquay and one not to be missed.
