What a fabulous day out we had at Lappa Valley. Well worth visiting with children. We had fun on the range of trains, canoes and there is lots of play equipment to entertain the children while we had a break! Nice little cafe with a good range of reasonably priced food and drink. The day out was good value for... More

I love this place, as do my two kids aged 4 and 10. It is to be fair a little old fashioned, but it is charming and enjoyable and fun and a brilliant place to spend time with your family. The trains are so much fun, mini carriages trundling round the countryside & there is a nice play area with... More

See title as it says it all. Naff golf course, naff boating lake and naff play area. Would not recommend it to anyone under any circumstances whatsoever

Unfortunatley our visit to lappa valley has made me give my first review on trip advisor! We were extremely disappointed with lappa valley. Mainly because of the extortionate prices for an hours entertainment. £37 for two adults and two three year olds. Unfortunately we missed the train by a few minutes so had to wait 40 minutes for the next.... More

Sorry that you were disappointed but I cannot agree that we only offer an hour's visit. We know from other feedback that most families stay for 4 hours for which £37 is not expensive. We are in the process of updating our facilities but the very poor winter weather before we opened this season has delayed our usual maintenance and... More

Love the travel to /from the park by train , makes it a kind of secret place for the kids. Lots to do and a reasonably cheap day out.

Disappointed by this venue. £52 for a family and barely 2hours of entertainment. Fortunately it was dry when we visited as otherwise there would have been nothing to do. A personal gripe of mine is also that after paying for entry the first thing the children see when they step off the first train are go karts that require payment... More

Sorry that you felt disappointed, but on a dry day most visitors spend 4.5 hours here according to our surveys. I assume from the price you quote that your party consisted of 3 adults and 3 children and I do not beleive that £52 for a varied day out is expensive. We do have two indoor play carriages and hope... More

If your children are under 10 then this is a good place to visit if the weather is good. There are 3 trains, a small lake with canoes, mini golf, a few slides / climbing frames and a cafe. There is no indoor play so not so good in the rain. It's clean and the staff are friendly, dogs are... More

Thanks for your feedback and glad you found a variety of activities for the family. We do in fact have two indoor play carriages for younger children (including table football!), perhaps you missed these. On a dry day our visitor surveys tell us that the average visit time is 4.5 hours. More

Just spent the day at Lappa Valley Steam Railway and had a great day out. A super little Steam Train took us from the Station on a lovely journey through the woods to the station in the main activity area. This is where we had other train rides, a walk through the woods, even got in a Kayak for a... More

Just returned from a day at Lappa Valley with a two and half year old train mad son! It was such a lovely day out! The whole place has been really well thought out, well maintained and friendly/helpful staff throughout. Our son was so excited by the all the trains. There's also a fantastic play area, and the boats on... More

Looking for places to go with a dog and young child is hard so we were excited to hear about Lappa Valley! Both our dog and our toddler enjoyed the trains (although our dog had to "watch" our toddler on the miniature railway! Hilarious little touches along the routes which were fun to look out for! We had some lunch... More
