I visited Lappa Valley with my husband and stepson (5) during our August vacation in Cornwall. We really didn't quite know what to expect, but it came highly recommended by the staff at our hotel, The Sands Resort. We arrived in the late morning, midweek in late August. We did have trouble finding it. We didn't get clear driving directions,... More

Great price so much to do I loved it! Mini train rides, big train to get into the place. Great for the kids, canoes and more. Young child bit. Good little café. I would return!

Lappa Valley Steam Railway is a great day out for all the family. I remember coming here as a kid as my parents lived in the nearby village of St Newlyn East and, some thirty odd years later, I've taken my children along a couple of times. My 4 y.o. loves it. The excitment of the train taking you to... More

Steam train ride to site, then loads of free activities, kayaks, crazy golf, playgrounds etc. Take a picnic in disposable bags as nowhere to store coolbags and café has limited menu. Don't forget the suncream either if its hot as it's easy to forget while kayaking on the lake. The kids love it here.
