Visited last week whilst on holiday in the area and have to say it was a great day out. Our 2 year old is train mad, and from walking out of the car park to the ticket hall he had a big smile on his face. The boating lake is great fun, and was a great way to cool down... More

A super place for a day out with children. Starts with a train ride (steam/diesel mini-locos seem to alternate). Two other train rides at the top of the site, plus lots of adventure playgrounds, swings, slides etc. A good café with lots of seating outside. Woodland walks etc etc. Easy to spend a whole day there in fine weather

We'd just like to express our appreciation to everyone at Lappa Valley. We enjoyed a great day today with our 3 year old and 4 month year old. I cannot think of a more relaxing environment anywhere in Cornwall. Yet in the same sense, lots to keep our 3 year occupied. We highly recommend to families with toddlers and will... More

Our two year old train obsessed son absolutely loved being here! The downside for us was the indoor play part is fairly small so there wasn't as much for our one year old to do without constant help. Overall though we enjoyed our visit and I'm sure we will be back in the future.

My grandson who is nearly 3 absolutely loved this place. There is plenty for young children to do and the train rides are lovely. The cafe was very reasonably priced and we he a thoroughly good time.

We visited with my 2 year old son who was literally shaking with excitement when he saw the train pull up to bring us to Lappa Valley, this is truely what childhood memories should be made of, it was fantastic value for money, staff were fantastic and so enthusiastic, a great way to send a sunny day, can't recommend this... First and foremost, this is a fun place for small children. There are, however, a few things that could be done in order to dramatically improve the experience: - the train to and from the entrance (the only way in and out) run far too infrequently. It is not clear from the website that only a handful of trains are... More

Thanks for your comments and pleased that you had a fun time. Regarding train times, we regularly run trains every 20 minutes if it is busy - we have done this most days this week. However it is not practicable or possible to run trains every 5 or 10 minutes - even the national rail network would struggle with such... More

This place was recommended to us by a local we met on the beach in Cornwall. It was a superb day out & we both thought v good value for money if you have a toddler or young children. The staff were ridiculously friendly, the whole place was well kept & clean with enough activities to fill a whole morning... More
