This is obviously the main surfing beach in Newquay It was easy to hire equipment and also has life guards which they need as the waves can be very big on this beach

Great beach and even though I visited during the school summer holidays it never felt crowded. Lifeguard on duty were excellent.Found the parking charges to be excessive.

We enjoyed a wonderful day here. It's the full Cornish surfing experience. The beach and Atlantic waves are amazing. Our son and dog had a brilliant time. The surf shops there are worth a visit. We bought headphones and sunglasses. We enjoyed a meal in the cafe there (inside with our dog, thankfully as the weather was closing in), this... More

Busy beach with fantastic waves. Felt very safe as the lifeguards were clearly visible and issuing safety notices.

Ok fantastic location, access is really awkward and forget parking. As a blue badge driver trying to park was not only frustrating but also very expensive, why charge for blue badge access? if you have mobility issues and you do manage to park, forget the beach; you will be able to get to most shops with care but they really... Best beach in all weathers. We stayed south side which was less busy. Great surf as well. Good food available at places either end. And enough rocks to scramble round and net stuff

We were staying at the Fistral Beach Spa Hotel right opposite this beach so it was perfect for us. Rock pools and plenty of lovely, clean sandy beach for small kids and dog walkers and it's obviously very popular with surfers. Good facilities with surfing lessons and equipment hire available. You can walk from one end to the other in... More

A great beach for families and groups. Toilets and showering facilities at the main point. Free toilets!!!! Places to eat and places to shop :-) Easy to walk from one end of the beach to the other and back via a path up from the beach. Park at the south end of Fistral at Pentire but get there early for...
