Absolutely beautiful, clean and picturesque beach with great facilities. Definitely worth getting some chips or an ice cream and sitting on the front and watching the surfers. There is a car park right on the beach, it costs approximately £3 for 2 1/2 hours but be careful as the parking system is monitoring remotely by security cameras so don't overstay... More

This beach is a must for anyone travelling to Newquay. We took surfing lessons here and it was amazing. The beach is clean and well kept, there are some shops and nice bars and restaurants (the local ciders and yummy pizzas at the stable restaurant were a highlight), we kept coming back despite the many other beaches

Beautiful beach, long and golden but loads of dogs so don't go if your not into dogs . Luckily the majority of people picked up their dog mess . The stables restaurant near by was nice for a drink and nice to sit and look out over the beach .

Had a lovely holiday in Newquay in June , Visited Fistral beach a couple of times , once home got a parking fine through the post ,stating we had overstayed our welcome ! Had no idea that you actually had to leave the car park entirely by time expired ! Our youngest has additional needs ,including mobility and we had... More

Why go abroad when I have this on my doorstep. easy to get to, lots of parking spaces, and apart from steps occasionally, a delightful beach but remember the current and tides can be very dangerous.

I had forgotten how beautiful this beach is. The power of the surf is awe inspiring. I had last visited Fistral beach almost 50 years ago when surfing in Cornwall was in its infancy. In those days the beach was visited by a few lone surfers. Want a difference 50 years has made, surfers in their hundreds adding energy and... More

I don't like beeches but this one was great. Sandy and had shops, bar and restaurant at it as well as a lifeboat. It was cloudy the day we went but still hot. Had a great walk along the water. The were small jellyfish things in the sand sl had to watch a little but don't think they can sting... More

Sand, sea, surf, toilet, parking, bar, restaurants. What more is there to ask for? Other than Mediterranean water temperature, not a lot.

Definitely the sandiest of Newquay's coves and with the best surf waves, but almost impossibe to access if you're wheelchair-bound, or have a baby-buggy in tow. We noticed there was a great sand-friendly wheelchair available for hire, on the beach, with huge 'bubble' wheels, but how on earth anyone in a wheelchair would get onto the beach is not clear.
