Free gallery located in a slightly out of the way spot upstairs in the library building. Enjoyed the current exhibitions - Serpentine 'Artists of the Lizard' and Tony Giles. Small but well-curated exhibitions with a Cornish theme. I wasn't familiar with any of the artists before but definitely worth visiting.

A fascinating FREE visit. Well worth a look at the constantly changing exhibits. Car park nearby. Interesting shop on site selling books and related merchadise . Recommended.

This art gallery, though small, punches above its weight in terms of exhibitions and activities for kids. Currently there is a soil/nature theme - which may be difficult for some to accept as art, but is more interesting than an unmade bed or an animal carcass cut in half... The kids had a go drawing with soil based pastels -... More

Our disappointment at the "Soil" exhibition in the two small galleries must have been obvious as we were asked our opinion by staff. So we were offered a private viewing of the collection which contained many gems (Waterhouse, Burne-Jones, Opie etc) all brilliantly explained by member of staff Alex.

I love the effort made in the exhibitions so the art is accessible to all ages. Friendly staff and a feel that the place is well cared for and loved.

Amazing municipal gallery, one of the top galleries of its type in the UK. Excellent special exhibitions - about 6 every year - plus a wide and interesting range of their own stock. And it's free!
