A must if you are in Falmouth. It is in the middle in the old Library building.called the Passmore Edwards Museum (I think) very well managed and a real bit of Victorian history with great atmosphere inside. It is on 'The Moor', an island where buses stop and taxis collect. There is also a great cafe newly opened right near,... More

Small but very friendly gallery. We saw lots of families visiting mainly because the main exhibition was showing work of children's illustrator Rodney Peppé and his collection of mechanical toys. Complementing this exhibition was a show of mechanical art works by different artists - delightful! Another exhibition featured paintings connected with Jamaica and Falmouth. We enjoyed the visit.

A nice gallery with an interesting exhibition. very hands on and interactive for children, if we had our grandchildren with us we would have stayed longer.

Visited today with my partner .At first we were a little disappointed as there was an exhibition of childrens book illustrations taking up much of the gallery. We mentioned to staff that we would like to see the pre raphaelite paintings and the assistant curator took us to the art store. He gave us an interesting and informative talk which greatly... More

This small but airy art gallery is located above Falmouth library, and is council owned. It is free to enter, and the main entrance is up quite a steep alley. There is, though, a lift for disabled people from the main street, which takes you to the shop by the main entrance. We really enjoyed the exhibits, and especially the... More

I've visited many times as the gallery has frequently changing curated exhibitions. It's very family friendly and there is often an associated talk or walk related to the exhibitions which will enhance your visit if you have time. There are 3 rooms and the automatons are a fun feature. You can also request to see paintings which aren't currently on... More

We went whilst the Rodney Peppe Astonishing Automata and Marvellous Machines exhibition was on - good fun for all the family. The staff were very friendly. The gallery has a large collection, but its limited space means only a small selection of artworks can be displayed at any one time. You can ask in advance to view a piece, though,... More

Good art gallery the paintings had a sailing theme with the yachts being in town, the Automation display was very good and you could wind them up and watch them working.

Falmouth Art Gallery is a good educational experience with lots of art from the great masters. Plus there are automatons and Aardman animations, which are awesome.
