Getting pretty drunk I thought it would be a good idea to take a dip, jumping of the bridge in waverton only to land on a... More

A really pleasant area for walking and some cafe culture plus some great restaurants along here It is safe walking and you are away from the madding crowds and the traffic.

Stretching from Chester to Ellesmere port and up towards Whitchurch the canal towpath offers great cycling opportunity to see the beautiful locks and canal system. Can be crowded at weekends but not in week. Great way to explore places and exercise!!

A walk along the canal towpath can tell you lots about the city's history and you're never far from the shops, pubs, restaurants and other landmarks

I always enjoy a stroll along Chesters Canal to take in the sights. You get talking to the boatmen and women and hear of the life aboard travelling around the country. The canal is beautiful and full of wildlife.

We loved walking down the wall and by the Canal, along and onto the suspension bridge, as it gave us a peaceful feeling and we could look at the views. Also to stop for a drink, it was brigh, but a cold day, then from there we could easily walk around Grosvenor Park.

Weather was good but must visit in the warmer months to see the trees and flowers in bloom. A must visit for you to walk the canal.
