The river Dee walk is a must for Chester visitors . It's right next to the Walls and wether permiting you can have a very relaxed time there .

Came to visit Chester at the wrong time of the year, the river is so beautiful, I'm coming back in the summer so that I can take a very long boat ride to see more.

Great to walk along the river Dee this week, lovely views and beautiful city. We used the suspension bridge to get between one side and the other. Lots of access to little coffee shops too

Lovely river by the walls of Chester. We've been here a few times for an evening stroll and enjoyed the scenic views of the river. The river/area is clean and relatively quiet. Lots to do around the area, including a few bars/restaurants (hickorys for example). Can't wait to see it in summer when we head down there for a stroll/drink.... More

View is best seen from the City walls and they are putting in some money into keeping it scenic and clean. Lovely setting!

Going to the riverside is a must in Chester. It is really lovely and it is time well spent. The views the river at different points are always worth seeing and you never tire of them.

If you start from the Chain Link Bridge follow the river downstream to the Old Dee Bridge, note the arches they are all different, the bridge was financed by the different guilds of Chester. Keep heading downstream passing the old council offices and the castle, walk through the carpark and on to the promenade by the race course, which takes... More
