Great day out

Good day out with friends for the races. Excellent seats and comfortable surroundings at the bar. While very busy it wasn't overcrowded.

This is a beautiful racecourse even though it is quite small. Local owners and trainers usually do well here if you enjoy a flutter.

Chester races used to be an enjoyable day out but in recent years it has become overcrowded. Expect a long wait at the bar with some of the most expensive prices I have seen at a racecourse.

The restaurant have superb staff and has a great outlook over the racecourse. Just a few yards away are the shopping areas for the Rows and Roman Walls. Check your dates for race meeting days.

We went to the May Races and invited some friends from Scotland. We all had a super day ,prices of drinks were a bit on the expensive side but we had a great day and weather was not too bad which does make it a better experience. Had an exciting all round great day, will do this again

This is the first time we have ever been to a large organised display and it was brilliant. £5 per person under 7's free. Loads to do. Good size fair although a bit expensive at £3 pp per ride. Great catering and amazing fireworks. The only slight downside was that from the seated area, where most of the families were.... More

You can stand on Chester's Walls and watch the horses run their course without paying for entry which is why the entry tickets to Chester are consistently low. The course sits on a former island called the Roodee that sits between the walls and the river Dee. The course is almost perfectly cicular and the large green area in the... More

We recently held a family wedding reception here and I would like to thank all the members of staff involved for making it such a relaxed and seamless occasion. It was an international wedding with many nationalities attending and all were made to feel welcome. The wedding was held in the late afternoon at a local church and the following reception,... More

The racing is not much good ( the track is biassed) and facilities are poor. There are much better courses to go to instead of this

Confusing overall ticket prices, but well established venue and very well run. Thought the car parking was very expensive. First visit to family day, kids loved it but worth taking a picnic and some chairs to feel more involved
