This place looks like a little slice of heaven, and that's just from a the view from the train pulling into Chester and short drive by. Pound for pound better than the revamped York and any other 'Big' course you could name. A pocket battleship is the RhooDee.

We have been going to this fantastic racecourse since we were old enough to place a bet. We can get the train down from Liverpool and in 45 minutes your at Chester train station, were you can either get the free bus to very near to the racecourse or a really nice walk to the ROODEE,stopping at various bar's, pub's or... Great location for a full day and nights entertainment as the racecourse is cited only a 10-15 min walk from the city centre. There is also parking on site, but you could be a while leaving at the end of the day if you're parked in the middle of the course due to sheer weight of traffic. Whilst it gets... More

Better when they have a lunch menu with more options on it and maybe slightly larger portions, but excellent service and nice food!

Food was really good for a mass catered event, but portion sizes a little mean considering the price per head

Walking along the city walls the racecourse is to be seen in all it's splendour. Due to the height it is possible to almost get a bird's eye view of the complete course and also get the feeling of what is must have been like in Roman Times as it was originally a large harbour and very busy port -... Race day in stands, easy access and entry. Pleasant and helpful stewards all around the site. Day spoilt by rowdy, drunk crowd who were swearing and being very loud. Not a great advert for Chester but this behaviour continued in city after..not returning.
