Staff were very helpful advising when the best time to visit was without all the school children. The digs that are been undertaking were most interesting.

Our annual class visit to Dewa was once again a real pleasure. We have been visiting Chester to do the ‘Romans’ for some time and once again found the day to be fantastic. I want to say a huge thanks to our Roman Soldier ‘Walkus’ for an inspirational tour with authentic archaeology and fun facts the children will remember.

Went one day after remembering a fond childhood trip. nothing has been renovated. the owners are running it into the ground. its so run down its not funny and i feel sorry for all who come and see it in its current state. Please don't go unless you want to waste money.

The first part (the boat trip to Britannia) went on far too long. Then you get to ‘rush’ through a door that opens ... And into the exhibition proper. If you like this sort of thing (and we do) then there is a lot to learn and a lot to see. But beware, this is not a museum - it... More

The first problem we had with this museum was finding it, the maps of the city we were given had it in the wrong place and it is off the main shopping street down a little side alley. It is a rather small museum and as I was to find out later run by a very small compliment of staff,... More

We found this place on a quiet Tuesday morning at a cost of £5.50 for adults we went and had a look ..it was a little basic but I'm guessing they make the most of their budget.. It's certainly well worth a visit if your with the kids as there are lots of things to dress up with and interactive... More

me and my girlfriend visited on Saturday 23rd May 2015 after recognising it from our childhood primary school visits some years before, we are both in our late teens so it was quite a while ago... we looked online and say that it was £5.50 to get in which from our memory was expensive but probably worth it. We either... More

This exhibit must have been created by the Romans it is that dated! Very tacky rooms that are in need of some painting. AV clip was inaccurate as footage of Roman Garden was well out of date. Excavation exhibits not fully explained and one interactive button was missing. Paid the same amount of money to visit Plas Mawr the oldest... More

Poorly maintained and very boring. Way too expensive so don't waste your money. Owners need to visit the Lever Brothers museum at Port Sunlight to see how this sort of attraction should be done.
