Consulted Dewa Website the previous evening and travelled 50 miles to Chester for a family day out. Chap in Roman attire parading round the city, & clear sign posts to Dewa experience - none of which gave any hint that when we arrived at the entrance the place was CLOSED for the day! Informed by a waitress in a nearby... More

I have always had an interest in Roman history - especially in Britain, and given a recent vist to Chester thought the Dewa experince could have been a hour or so in reviewing Roman history in Chester. Although it started quite well, it sort of just "fizzled out", and i left a little disappointed. It was tired, and needed a... More

Took my granddaughter who was interested but also like to play with the items provided - a lot did not work or were incomplete. Everything seemed 'tired' and I did not feel it was worth the money. Passes an hour on a wet day but there are much better things to do in Chester

My 3 year old was completely terrified at the beginning (in a dark ship with lots of noises). There's very little in terms of displays. I encouraged my 3 children to be involved with the activities but there wasn't a lot in there and my 3year old was desperate to leave. A lot of money for a lot nof nothing.... More

This looks to be a similar experience to say the Viking one at York. It's not. The audio vishal part is quite poor in terms of what there was too see and do. The 'dig' part explained little. The best bit was the artefacts. Very disappointed.

Yes great tour, unfortunately my wife had to back out , as the first part until the door opens is very tight and warm but after this the Roman relics and the various digs are excellent and most informative I did not spend a long time inside due to my wife waiting but we'll worth the visit

My 5 years old boy is really much into fighting with swords and I thought this experience would suit him while he was learning some history as well. I bought a Groupon voucher for museum and patrol which I think it was quite reasonable in compare to the counter prices on the day and well worthy if you are a... More

The Roman experience is great, even if you can omly pay with cash to get in. The displays are informative and the archeological digs good, a little more labelling eould have helped. Overal a good way to spend an hour or so.
