We went all the way round. It took about an hour as I stopped for photography. It was an instructive stroll, all of it on the level, except for a few small ups and downs. although not as long as the walls in york, you get some nice views on your walk round. Its very pleasant and peacefull away from the traffic

I'm an early riser, I was on the walls at 6:00am. It's great to watch a city come to life and you,re above it all and safely away from the traffic.

Walked the wall on arriving in Chester so we got magnificent views of what the City has to offer and gave us the chance to get our bearings of where places are. The walls are very well preserved, and extend almost all round the city. A good hours walk and a good way to orient yourself!

Great walk particularly on a fine day. By doing this you get to see a lot of what the city has to offer, the river area, the racecourse, castle, cathedral, the old roman port area, amphitheatre, gardens and the jubilee clock tower/ bridge. I love walking along these walls whenever I'm visiting Chester they are useful for shortcuts avoiding the hustle and bustle of the roads as well as offering a unique view of the city and are free to use .In parts they are wide enough for shops and cafes, a must see attraction which will take you around the city The... Chester must be one of the nicest Cities in the uk, just love visiting ,Just a lovely size for a day out shopping , some lovely shops, new and old alike , plenty of history in the stalls and the walls. Be it summer or winter it's always a lovely place to visit .
