I have been coming here for more years than I care to disclose and still find it fascinating. It is also a photographers dream. If you are in the vicinity the walls are well worth a visit as you will see so much.

A great way to see the town and lovely views over the river Dee and old Roman gardens. Enjoyed seeing some of the streets surrounding town centre and skyline from this elevation, well worth the climb and walk.

This is a pleasant hours walk are around the walls. You get to see most areas of the city which really helps you decide where to return to! A must do when in Chester!

Walls are great. Good views. It's a great way to see Chester from a different viewpoint. Bit cold in January and can be slippy of it's been raining or frosty... don't be doing it in a high wind!!

It takes about 45 minutes to walk the walls, but take your time and stop off at a pub, cafe or shop on your way round there s lots of choice. See the racecourse, canals and railways as you walk round.

Great walls, fab walk which is well signposted. Great way to orientate yourself. As the walls were really slippy, we walked near to them and did part of them down by the river. It was great

Have walked around the walls on numerous occasions. It's a nice distance and there is a lot of history to take in along the way. Would recommend this stroll on a nice summer's evening before or after dinner in one of Chester's many fine restaurants!

We had a lovely, chilly afternoon walking round the walls while viewing the attractions and landmarks of this historic city. Some of the east wall is currently being repaired and some work is taking place at another couple of points along the way, but you can still get a really good idea of how the city used to be throughout... Wow what a well preserved historic wall. A great walk to do anytime of year. There are some fabulous views of the river, city centre, park, etc. The only thing was the area near the clock was closed for refurbishment, which is understandable that they have to do it occasionally. It would have been nice to stand over the high... More
