Its an interesting walk, with some fine views of the city including the race course and the roman gardens. Some of the wall was being repaired when we were there but we still managed to walk most of it, all in all an enjoyable 2 mile stroll.

Historical city walls leading to various parts of the city and easy access to the racecourse and cathedral. Its a pity the wall isnt continuous but the gaps are easily sorted. Some of the views are worth the walk too.

It's interesting to walk the walls as there are plenty of plaques giving historical information. Near the cathedral there is a lot of renovation work going on, but again information is provided on the reason for the work.

A lovely two mile stroll around the city of Chester, we stopped off at the Architect pub for a glass of light refreshment. It is certainly worth walking the wall on a nice sunny day

We took the time whilst visiting Chester to walk the circumference of the city via the walls. Even though it was rainy we had a lovely experience of stepping back through time. Great opportunity to take some really top pics from the walls

We walked some of the walls, quite a few steps involved but a good viewing point. The wall takes you around the whole of the City. Apparently its 2 miles long if you want to walk of it it, we walked it from the Castle into the town

Its great if you like walking. Use the route to cross the city. It is great for missing the crowds. You can get across the city centre very quickly.

The wall are a great chance to stroll round the wall and see so much of the city, the old buildings and the river. Lots of spots to get on and off the wall. A lovely free activity.
