Two hours carriage ride was the perfect island orientation. Lap blankets for all was a great touch! Our driver painted the picture of Sark's history and made timely photo op stops - we eased in to the pace and truly loved this!

Check the weather forecast carefully before making the trip to Sark. We went on a perfect day, bright blue skies with a few fair weather clouds, a pleasant temperature for walking and relatively smooth seas for the 45 minute ferry ride from St Peter Port, Guernsey. We were met by a tractor pulled wagon for the ride from the jetty... More

We had the day trip booked to Sark before we arrived in Jersey. For those that suffer from seasickness take a tablet before you leave Jersey for Sark! the journey back is much easier on the tummy :-) we had a delightful trip around the island and our tour guide/carriage driver was Ash who had a tremendous knowledge of the... Sark is wonderfully peaceful at this time of year. Made more recognisable and famous by the television documentary " my island parish". We took the inter island ferry over from Guernsey [last day of March 2014] - a 55 minute trip. it was on a calm day - tickets can be purchased on the harbour quay at quiet times but... More

I visited Sark with two disabled ladies. Less than an hour from Guernsey and about £28 each. Bit of a long slope to walk down to the boat. On the island we took the horse drawn carriage for an hour for £10 each. Our guide was lovely and very informative about what we could see. The horse Froddo was gentle.... More

We arranged our trip to Sark from St. Peter Port, Guernsey through our cruise ship. I'm sure that one can also do it privately. The ferry company handled all the arrangements which included the ferry ride, the "tractor bus" up the hill to meet the horses and carriages, and the admission to the beautiful gardens of the Seigneur of Sark.... My husband was suffering from a bad back and was unable to walk far, when we visited Sark for the day. The island is only 3 miles long and normally we would have walked around, but on that day, this was our only option. The ride cost us £15 each and lasted 2 hours. There were 2 stops on the... More

Our carriage ride with April and Alfred (the horse!) was brilliant. We really enjoyed hearing all about island life from our lovely carriage rider April (who happens to be from the same area as us...it's a small world!). We would definitely recommend stopping off at the garden attraction which is beautiful, especially if you're lucky enough to go while the... More

Arrived for first time visit for a day about 6 horse and carriages waiting at the top of the hill to take us on island trip. Beware, they are all different drivers and charge different prices, the guys at the beginning of the line have the advantage of appproaching potential customers first, ask them all first for prices, they all... For £15 can do a 2 1/2 hour guided tour of Sark. The guides have a sound knowledge of the island as they live on Sark and have experienced life there. There are no cars on the island which make it unique, very peaceful. In fact we hope to stay there next year. Tractors are the only form of transport.... More
