a traditional market, which is fairly large and numerous offerings including two different cheese stalls, good flowers and veg stalls. A great old fashion market with the delights of Cambridge and the Grand Arcade next door

One of the great things about Cambridge is the fact that it has embraced the continental-style use of its main square by opening it up to traders and having café surround it. It's a great place to stroll around with a lot of staple from the quirky to the practical and everyday (great fruit, veg, meat and fish). A welcome... More

The market needs a good clean, the cobbles are slippery and uneven and it is hard to walk on and the area is very congested. The only stall that I go to is the flower stall which has reasonably priced plants. The other stalls are overpriced, especially the vegetable stall. The bread stall is covered in flies in warm weather. The... More

I love how cozy it is and how many things you can buy. Loved the stall where you could build your own vintage cupcake-fruits-whatever stand.

As it is so central it is certainly worth a browse - it is a small market and a fair amount of food stalls. I like to support local so bought a few bits.

In Glasgow we have the Barras and in Cambridge 'you' have the Market Square. The site was once larger however it is still big enough to have room for a huge range of stalls which sell just about everything and it's a permanent feature. We enjoyed the diversity of foods on offer and in particular the stalls that sold unusual... More

I love Cambridge , and the market square is a traditional gem.. It's a normal market with some great fruit and veg stalls. Food, clothes and general kniknaks. Unlike some city markets, it's not a rip off but a truly competitive market surrounded by really nice shops and buildings. I recommend a good browse.
