I booked a two hour simulator session at Cambridge Airport on the 737-800 fixed simulator. I was welcomed on arrival by my instructor who undertook a briefing session on the key flight controls. Sitting in the simulator was fantastic; the flight deck is stunning. With guidance from my instructor I took off from 27L at Heathrow and flew over London,... More

This was my second visit to Virtual Aviation in the last year. My first session was mostly hand flying and that was important to get a feel for the 737 flying qualities. I did not operate any of the systems other than throttles and thrust reversers. On this recent visit the Captain was much more aligned to operating as a... More

We had had a sneak (hands off) preview but nothing prepares you for the (virtual) real thing. A quick briefing (perhaps a bit acronym overloaded but completely understandable from a career commercial airline pilot ) and then we were off. Circuits from/to Heathrow, Salzburg and Hong Kong. We (three of us) had two each and I had another 'cos it... More

A anniversary present. I was a little apprehensive, thinking it was like a simulator for video gaming, more for playing around then anything else. After entering venue, the staff were very friendly and welcoming. Experienced retired pilot gave us a 30 min tuition on landing, approach, cockpit layout as well as answering many of our dumb questions that we thought... More

This was an experience received as a birthday present. My son and I went along and had the simulator to ourselves. The simulator was incredibly realistic (clouds et al) and instruction first class. We truly felt that we took off, flew and landed. For us it was all perfect. The same can not be said for the passengers who were... More

Fantastic personnel, excellent instructor/trainer, great facility and thoroughly enjoyable experience. Was bought the experience for a birthday present and went along with my father and friend, all had a go in the 1hr session and all walked away with massive grins! Well worth a go!

Really enjoyed the experience. Pre-flight briefing was thorough and detailed, and saved a lot of time wasting in the actual simulator. Rick was professional and knowledgeable and made the 3 routes flow very enjoyable. Stansted to Heathrow, St Moritz to Innsbruck and a lap of Tobago! I look forward to coming back.

Thanks for your review, I'm glad you enjoyed your time with us. The pre-flight brief is a great way to learn the finer details of the aircraft before you try it, especially with all of our instructors who have thousands of hours on the real aircraft. Isn't the approach into Innsbruck fantastic with all the mountains? Hope to see you... More

This was my second time on the simulator and I requested the same instructor (Rick) who was brilliant last time. The session was adjusted to my level of experience and was immensely valuable - although I would rather forget about my reactions when one of the engines failed just after take-off! The whole experience is professionally handled and the team... More

Great to see you again here at Virtual Aviation. Not to worry about the reaction about the engine failure, it's quite a ride! Failures are a vital part of all pilot training and it's exciting to experience them in a simulated environment. Hope to see you again in the near future. More
