This offered the best value for a punt on the river. They marshal you from the colleges to the river and allocate your punt, with a student giving you an informative, but no so serious dialogue as he moves you up and down the river. Good weather is a necessity to enjoy this sublime experience.

Once you've done 'the backs' - for your second punting experience get a picnic, rent a punt and head up river toward Grantchester. It is scenic, tranquil and a lot of fun.

I have lived in Cambridge all 27years of my life and its rare that I get to fully explore and appreciate the beauty of the city due to work commitments etc. but when I do, anywhere along the river cam or punting is a lovely way to spend either a summers day or winters day. The scenery is to die... More

River cam always brings joy... Never tiring. Best in summer, but great to walk by in the coldest winter...

Whether you run, take a stroll, punt, kayak, of just have a lazy time sat on the backside overlooking one of the colleges, truly gorgeous! A million miles away form the hustle and bustle of London, but, only 45 minutes on the train from Kings x.

Nothing to dislike about the whole experience. Our young guide and "chauffeur", as they are called, expertly poled our flat-bottomed punt between the crowded craft enjoying the River Cam on such a warm and sunny afternoon. In 45 minutes, we were gently taken on our watery pathway along the backs of some of the 31 colleges, including the famous King's... More

Catch a chauffeured punt from Silver Street & haggle price. We visited on the hottest day of year 30 degrees at lunch time when there was a hiatus and hired a punt for just the two of us. The "student" guide will give you a potted 50 minute history and they have great fun misleading gullible tourists with spoof stories... More

Definitely Take a punt - as recommended by others by a reputable company eg Scudamores and not the ransoms approaching you in the street. Probably best not to try a new sport here - let the experts take you on the guided punt tour. Also a walk along the river is magic. Along the shared paths, past the house boats,... More

I don't what it would be like raining but it was a very enjoyable punting journey in the sunshine. The river was a bit crowded with all the boats, some of which were handled badly by tourists. So one thing to be careful about is not put any part of your body out of the boat, because someone may crash... More

I and my friend went to cambridge for haft of day so we don't have much time. This 45 mins trip by boat gave us an interesting experience.
