Punting on the Cam is a true Cambridge Experience - unfortunately the river is often very crowded. Go on a quiet sunny day out of season and you can have bits of the river to yourself at times. Do have a go at punting yourself if you are fit enough to give it a go - Its challenging if you... More

Well worth a trip but my top tip is HAGGLE the touts are authorised to be flexible on the price. I was quoted £22.00 pp but when I said I was a local and had been many times in past I paid just half that price per person

Booking a trip on a punt with a guide is well worth the cost and effort ( actually its worth the lack of effort looking at others trying to punt!!)

Lovely river, the banks are clean and well kept. I liked the views and I took many photos. I wish I could have gone on a boat but can't with my disabilities.

I've just realised that this is obviously one of my favourite places, because this is where my husband proposed to me. But there was a reason for that! The place, not just the proposal. The place is beautiful and calm and despite all the young men desperate to sell you a go on their punt, not too bad value, with... More

What a fun way to see the colleges, you certainly get perspectives that you don't on foot. It's worth reading up on the history which puts it all into perspective. The punters themselves students will have plenty to say about what you are seeing. Its not as fast a row boat and can feel a bit wobbly but overall it's... More

Relaxing and tranquil steeped in history. We had a chauffeured punt and loved looking at the stunning buildings and listening to the history of the buildings along the Cam

You must see the River Cam. Hard to miss it. Weather permitting the punting is great as well. Fantastic scenery. Very relaxing and good stories as well.
