You can not come to csmbridge and not relax on this beautiful area. We took a few hours out of our day to have a summers evening and would say it's very romantic

This is without doubt the best way to see the colleges, sitting in a punt and having the guide tell you the odd and interesting things

A beautiful river, that runs through the heart of the greatest city in the world. There are plenty of places to sit along the bank watching, boats, swans and ducks go by.

If you do visit Cambridge you can't miss the river, literally. Personally I prefer to walk than take a punt. But i think thats because i am local. If you do take a punt make sure you book in advance if you can, the prices are cheaper. The walk is lovely and you can do so at your own pace... More

If you visit Cambridge you have to have the 'punting' experience. There are any people around the town ready to organise a trip for you, all are polite and very helpful. It cost £20 for my daughter and myself (she's 15) and we didn't plan it so we had to wait about 20 minutes which wasn't bad. We were in... More

45 minute punt was great. Our oarsman was very knowledgeable and told us loads of interesting facts. We bought our tickets off a guy who stopped us as were walking by he showed us a board which had various prices written on it. Adult tickets were shown as £20 and student tickets were 15 he said that he could do... More

We went with the Cambridge Punting Company and the guide was very knowledgeable and good. The river gets very busy and our punter knew how to avoid a gridlock.

Recommend a punt trip to see all the various colleges from the water - The Punt 'drivers', probably not the best term or correct all seem to be very knowledgeable of the history and give a good commentary while avoiding the amateur punt rentals!
