To think this was once part of the massive Regal cinema, the location in the centre of town, now above the weatherspoons pub a converted flicks, combines the tastes of Cambridge and history.

Always showing something different. Its my personal favourite as there is a lift and reception area and takes me back in time to when a visit to the cinema was a pleasure...no freezing air con...no noisy teens...no mobile phones and a nice place for the family...even reasonable food!! Near buses and taxis and very central. I think they do shows... More

The Arts is a real treat. It's a lovely grown up environment and a real oasis from the mad crowds just outside the door. Great little bar with the ability to take drinks into the movie with you. Good food also available. Fantastic range of films means it's always possible to find something of interest. Highly recommended.

Great for small group drinks, coffee, chats, etc. or alone with a book. Good solid food (sweet potato fries) and good drinks list, friendly staff, and of course artwork on the walls and the cinema an open flight of stairs away (with popcorn and great selections of treats). The only place in Cambridge like this and well worth your patronage.

I'm a local to the city and I am in love with this place. When I moved here, this was the first place I went to, and I go frequently now. The coffee and hot chocolates are delicious, and the staff are always friendly and cheerful. Sometimes, I'll have something to eat before watching a movie, and the food will... More

Long before multiplexes you could go to a cinema and watch films on a large screen and get totally lost in the romance of the movies. This cinema has those features; old-school comfortable seating, large screens, big sound, and whats more, no annoying centre isle (which is where the best seats are). There is a cosy bar/cafe on the first... More

The Arts Picture House have upped their game on the food front - and the pulled pork on toasted sourdough is delicious. Their coffee and cake has always been good, as are the biscuits served from a large glass cookie jar. For light refreshments after a lunchtime film it fits the bill.

V. stylish bar but dull drinks and as so often with arty places, rather amateur service. Still, great place to hang out, even if you’re not going to the cinema.

The Picture House offers a more grown up alternative to other cinemas in Cambridge and shows a good selection of films. The food used to be much better, with better choices available, however they do a good line in wine.

a great place with unusual and interested films that you can't see elsewhere. And comfortable seats too
