Stunning hidden garden

The most amazing garden open free to the public. Sea of tranquillity. Absolutely beautiful. Hidden gem.

As a Clare graduate I am clearly biased.... but the gardens are consistently rated the best (sole or joint) in Cambridge. The expanse of lawn leading to the river bank, flanked by borders full of colour, is a particular delight – sit a while there and watch the punts go by. But there are also several small areas to explore,... More

Saw the garden from the punts, only £3.50 well worth the money, apparently 70% of students are female and graduates are entitled to have their wedding receptions in the grounds.

The Fellows garden are beautiful to the senses in multiple ways, the colors, textures and motion of the blooms waving gently in the breeze are soothing and exhiliarating all at the same time, while the heavenly scent of the flowers is an experience all it's own. Then there is the sound of the many birds and insects that live in... More

Gorgeous gardens hidden away by the Backs of Cambridge on the River Cam. Most tourists miss this. They queue at the entrance for King's College Chapel and peer into Clare College next door and they don't realise that there is this hidden gem inside. It's only £3.50 what's that, you really should have a look.

If you like gardens, these are worth a visit. While small, they are beautifully designed and provide a wonderful, intimate experience. The visit felt like serene bliss.

Okay Clare was founded by a women who had three husbands. She founded a college with their combined money. Apparently she had a thing for gardens. Just GO
