Great location. Beautiful. Lovely backdrop of colleges across the river. Sheltered, warm, and sunny location. Plan to arrive early - you need time to find a car park.

This was our first visit to Cambridge, we parked on the main road and wandered over towards Clare College. We came to an entrance asking for £3 entrance fee for Clares college we paid and was told to take the first gate on the left into the gardens. We spent 5 minutes wandering round not sure why or where we... More

A lovely garden to have a walk through, it's so quiet and peaceful and charming. Those who are into flowers would have plenty to look at.

These gardens are worth a walk and meditation when you are ruminating thoughts. During summer it flourishes and blossoms, and is really intricate yet balanced, almost wild as all English gardens that are designed and tended to the utmost detail to look natural and bushy.

These gardens are not always open to the puplic but if they are do go in. They are located between the banks of the Cam and Queens Road. You can glimpse them if you are punting on the Cam if they are not open. Im not much of a horticulturist so I cant name all the flowers but the bursts... More

Visited the gardens on a beautiful sunny day. What a treat. Beautifully kept, very relaxing and great to see the river from the opposite bank. We had visitors to Cambridge with us, from the US, who were completely taken with the gardens. We will definitely return.

This garden is as good as a stately home one: good design, plenty of all-year round planting and giving lots of inspiration for your own garden.

On a recent visit to Cambridge, my friends and I popped into Clare College Gardens. One of my party is particularly knowledgeable concerning all things horticultural, and was extremely impressed with what we found. So much so, that he made a return visit later the same day! As a city Cambridge has more than its fair share of beautiful attractions... More

One of the quieter parts of cambridge along the backs, this is a place to read meditate or people watch as the punts meander by. The gardens are absolutely wonderful, being very secluded and private, and there is never many people here,so my tip is come, enjoy and bring a light snack.

We visit Cambridge for a few days every year. No trip to Cambridge would be complete without a visit to the beautiful, peaceful Clare College Gardens on the banks of the River Cam. This is the perfect place to escape the hustle and bustle of Cambridge. We visited on the day before graduation, so the garden was at its absolute... More
