Walked from Cambridge to here

Expensive to park when it is essentially a woodland with no amenities to speak of. It's not even as if there are noticeable signs that the parking money is used to make the car park half decent. Big open spaces for kids to run aorund, burn off steam, play football, frisbee, rounders etc but nowhere to purchase food or drink... More

The Roman Road is well sign posted. Pity about all the rubbish in the small car park at the start. Path turns through mature beech wood and leads into a well maintained picnic area. Path to bus stop on main road well signed. Buses No13 goes back to Cambridge on far side of dual carriageway. No timetable shown and no... More

The parking is free, have lots of different paths to take, and plenty of benches to eat if you want to do a picnic. Around the park they have lots of explanatory posters about the local vegetation and animals. Nice to go in a sunny day!

I though it was time we visited Wandlebury after driving past countless times. Its big with several long paths and benches to sit on - it would be a nice place to picnic But that's about it.The £3 for car parking made me expect something good because Milton country park charges less and you get lakes, playground, shop etc. But... Considering we have something similar in Cheltenham 'Crickley Hill' ours isn't left to nature! Parking was a nightmare, but hey that's life... After parking we had a great time the kids 16. 6 & 5 had a great time running and kicking leaves and picking twigs. I felt sad that this place was completely left to nature and trees weren't... We enjoy visiting Wandlebury because it has a lovely natural feel allowing enjoyment of the simple things in life. As others have said, trees are felled and left to rot because that's what happens in nature and is followed by the decay process that allows lots of creepy crawlies to thrive and feed the wildlife. The £3 parking should perhaps... More

A parking fee of £3 for the day is not excessive for somewhere to walk and enjoy the outdoors, but this is one of the most boring parks I have ever visited. A lot of trees have fallen and are left where they lay, signage is poor and really there is liittle else to enjoy. Poorly tended woodland and you... More
