Description: Founded in the early 1900s, we are Cambridge's oldest and friendliest...
Founded in the early 1900s, we are Cambridge's oldest and friendliest punting company. We introduced pleasure punting to Cambridge and have hired boats along the famous College Backs and on the scenic route towards Grantchester village. We became the first punting company in Cambridge to offer a chauffeured tour of the College Backs. Our VAQAS award-winning College Backs Tour offers the ideal introduction to Cambridge's inspiring history. Discover how the city has evolved from medieval market town to world-class centre for education whilst enjoying spectacular views from the river.

We had a great time along the river on a tour with a very informative guide. It rained that day so the seats were damp, bring a spare jacket to sit on! We also received a free 30 minute punt of our own to try out, ask for this! It's harder than it looks though!

We had an excellent guide named Tom. He was very good at controlling the boat and gave a very good informative guide to all the university buildings. There were some near misses with the general public trying to control their boats. That looked good fun but you don't find out the history of the university if you choose to hire... More

We did this tour as part of our combined Hop On Hop Off bus tour. We picked up the tour at point 5 on the Bus Tour as this location was much quieter than point number 1. What a fantastic tour, our guide was extremely knowledgeable, pointing out all the historic buildings and facts, coupled together with some local knowledge,... More

We paid on the day, but if you book online it is slightly cheaper. Beautiful sunny day and picturesque scenery, what's not to like?! Very informative guide who talked non-stop for our whole 45 min trip. Totally recommend doing this, don't be put off by how busy it looks the professional guys know what they are doing! We waited until... More

Let me explain for the rating: we bought tickets at discounted price from the tourist information centre. When I clarified if we have to book, I was told that I just have to turn up and present the booking confirmation - which is what I did. But at that point I was told that our ride will start at 13.30... More

I was doing a walking tour of Cambridge and happened upon this tour company. I am a sucker for boat trips and this did not let down. I hopped on a boat with out tourists and set sail. Our punter was hilarious and put on a great tour! So glad I decided to go for a punt!

As a Cambridge alum I was reluctant to go on a guided tour. So happy my husband and I did and picked Scadamore's (there is aggressive competition). Richard, our guide, gave a splendid tour of the "backs" of the colleges. He was filled with information on famous Cambridge alum, student stories and pranks, and had infectious good humor. He offered... More

Drifting down the Cam on a Saturday afternoon - bliss. Hiring a punt to explore the river is easy; we hired a self-punt for the four of us from Scudamore's. This was £25 for the first hour and then prices are calculated to the nearest 6 minutes after that. You can chose to head north or south, but can't do... More

I went on a guided punting tour. Our guide was extremely knowledgable. An really beautiful ride on a sunny day - very picturesque! Would highly recommend and would happily go on another tour next time I visit Cambridge!
