A relative who was going to show us around Cambridge cancelled at the last minute, and I needed to find another guide in 36 hours. I googled, and found Rosie Zanders at Cambridge Tailor-Made Tours, who responded right away and was totally gracious about our last-minute pressures. She met us right on time, and gave us a superb 2-hour tour... More

Thoroughly enjoyed the tour! Was able to visit many parts of the university - King's and Queen's Colleges in particular that day - and some of the town. Our guide was excellent; told us *lots* about the schools and town and did an excellent job keeping the group together. Our group included an extended family with a baby in stroller,... More

We went on the Kings College tour and had a great and informative 2 hours around Cambridge and well worth it alone to go into the King's College chapel. Wonderfully paced and excellent tour. More

Booked a two hour walking tour. Our guide was Nancy and she was very knowlegable, full of enthusiasm and made the tour an excellent experience. We are stll chuckling over the fact that several of the group accidentally followed the wrong party at the beginning of the tour and ended up in a pub! However, Nancy found them and re-united... Summary - if you do some research yourself, you may, as I discovered, that I didn't learn as much as I hoped on this tour - did a lot of listening and standing in one spot and not nearly enough walking - friendly but a bit dry - didn't seem worth the £16, even with visiting the two colleges -... We were very fortunate to have only 4 in our party, so it was like a personalised tour of the town with a knowledgeable guide, Judith. A great way to gain knowledge and orientation. As well as whet your appetite for more (knowledge and food). More

We went to the tourist info centre and this tour was recommended. It cost £16 (sounds expensive, but included entries to two colleges which would have been £10 combined). The tour was around 2 hours. The guide was entertaining and informative - great historical notes with a bit of fun trivia thrown in. We went on a Saturday in Feb... More

After arriving at Cambridge our first task was to sign up for a two-hour walking tour of Cambridge organized by the Cambridge City Council. At 1:00 pm we left with our guide, a lovely older lady who was very knowledgeable and clearly very well educated. She told us she was an Oxford graduate. For two hours she took us through... More

The best tour for a tourist on their first day to get acquainted with Cambridge fast and make the most of the rest of their stay. Good orientation. Enough anecdotes to keep us in good humor. Wear good walking shoes. Bring water and snacks. Thoroughly enjoyable. Spent the rest of my stay visiting each of the special places I saw... More
