This was definitely the highlight of our day trip to Cambridge. We arrived via train from London and immediately headed to the Tourist Information Center. Here we were able to book both our guided walking tour and a punting tour (at a special discount). Our tour guide, Nancy, was a delight: full of wonderful information about Cambridge and it's history,... More

A great way to see as much of the essence of Cambridge in as little time as possible. The super-knowledgeable guide pointed out plenty of interesting tidbits about the history and odd objects along the tour. King's College Chapel was a supreme top-off for the tour. Cannot be surpassed. If you have just a short amount of time or want... More

We went to Cambridge just for a day and we decided to take the walking tour which included the Queens and Kings college. We were very lucky with our tour guide, Tony. Really funny, huge amount of knowledge, I could hear him telling stories about Cambridge the whole day! Recommend highly Sofia and Bas

I took the official guided walking tour of university on Easter Sunday. It was very crowded because there were many other visitors, but the tour guide Helen was very gracious and did an excellent job of explaining different buildings and the history of the town and the university to us. I booked the tour online, however, you can simply go... More

Last week we booked a 2 hour tour of Kings and Pembroke. Our guide was very knowledgeable but although to hear a brief history of Cambridge was good I did not enjoy the lengthy part about the admission process for Students etc. And when the guide said he'd tell us something about himself I did despair a little. All this... More

If you are primarily interested in the history of Cambridge, this walking tour is great. I was expecting a tour similar to what a prospective student might experience (i.e. some history/traditions, an academic building or two, a residential building, a dining hall, a library, and the recreation center). None of that was included. Instead, you walk around campus stopping briefly... More

2hr walking tour - book direct at tourist office - £18 or £16 concessions. Took us on a very informative tour around the city - learnt a lot about the colleges and city's history. This tour took in Kings and Queens colleges but check when you book which colleges will be included as they change depending on term time etc.... More

This Saturday (21st of February) I had a pleasure to take a 2 hour walking tour troughout Cambridge. Susan was not only a knowledgable guide, but also a person who loves her home town. She was very polite, ready to answer any questions, very nice to everybody. And definetaly, I would have not known so many facts about the university... More

We booked upon arriving in Cambridge on Friday afternoon for the following day's morning visit. Upon our arrival at 11am on Saturday, we checked our tickets. Which indicated "Friday at 11", despite having bought them from the Information Centre that same Friday in the afternoon. Albeit, we could have checked when purchasing. The staff at the Centre, apologised for their... More
