If you are primarily interested in the history of Cambridge, this walking tour is great. I was expecting a tour similar to what a prospective student might experience (i.e. some history/traditions, an academic building or two, a residential building, a dining hall, a library, and the recreation center). None of that was included. Instead, you walk around campus stopping briefly... More

2hr walking tour - book direct at tourist office - £18 or £16 concessions. Took us on a very informative tour around the city - learnt a lot about the colleges and city's history. This tour took in Kings and Queens colleges but check when you book which colleges will be included as they change depending on term time etc.... More

This Saturday (21st of February) I had a pleasure to take a 2 hour walking tour troughout Cambridge. Susan was not only a knowledgable guide, but also a person who loves her home town. She was very polite, ready to answer any questions, very nice to everybody. And definetaly, I would have not known so many facts about the university... More

We booked upon arriving in Cambridge on Friday afternoon for the following day's morning visit. Upon our arrival at 11am on Saturday, we checked our tickets. Which indicated "Friday at 11", despite having bought them from the Information Centre that same Friday in the afternoon. Albeit, we could have checked when purchasing. The staff at the Centre, apologised for their... More

We started our tour at the Visitor Center. We definitely got our moneys worth as we saw a ton in 2 hours. The Eagle / Cavendish Laboratory / Pembroke College / St. John's College / Trinity (only outside) / Senate Hourse and more. THe best part is this included entering some of the colleges. It usually includes King's College but... More

The walking tour gives you the opportunity to explore the city's nooks and crannies, with a guide who is a font of information, anecdotes and stories about the various places of interest. Our guide Mary also speaks French, so tours are also available in other languages as well. Take a camera and prepare to learn a lot! Your starting point... More

We paid to go on a 2 hour walking tour with a local guide. It was booked and started from the tourist information centre for £18. We visited many places of interest and the ticket included entry to Kings College Chapel and Queens College.

We went on a guided ghost tour of Cambridge and of course the Colleges. Tony was funny and had a huge amount of knowledge. The tour wasn't too scary for those who might fright easily as there were a number of small children. I would reccommend as a must do for something a little different on your visit to Cambridge!
