Very interesting walking tour, great way to learn more about the city!

I took this walking tour on a day trip to Cambridge on the bank holiday Monday in August. Unfortunately it was an absolute downpour from beginning to end but the tour was so... read more

We had been on a similar tour in Oxford and were very impressed by the guide who was interesting and knowledgeable, in fact we would have liked a longer tour. We were therefore looking forward to learning all about the colleges and history of Cambridge. Unfortunately our Cambridge guide was vague, her delivery was disjointed and there was no structure... Thank you for takin the time to leave your review, however I am very concerned with the contents. Our guides as in Oxford are trained for a year and examined thoroughly before they are awarded the City badge and should therefore be extremely knowledgeable. If possible can I ask you to contact me on tours@cambridge.gov.uk so I can discuss your... More

I took this walking tour on a day trip to Cambridge on the bank holiday Monday in August. Unfortunately it was an absolute downpour from beginning to end but the tour was so interesting that it didn't really matter in the end. I believe our guide was Helen, although I might be mistaking, and she explained very well the history... More

We went on a tour with Margot. A suspect the quality of the tour varies with the tour guide. Ours was sometimes difficult to hear and sometimes lost the thread of what she wanted to tell us. She seemed to tell us some quite unimportant details so that the tour overran. She didn't explain things that well - I ended... More

Our guide took us round all the sights and gave us a good insight into the history without going over the top. The tour was done at an easy pace and took in a lot of the city.

With a busy weekend in Cambridge the tourist office had fortunately laid on extra walking tours to their normal programme as most of the other tours had sold out. Despite our tour being described as a 'Morning tour' we set off at 13.30 and our visit included entrance to both Queens' and Kings. Our guide was very pleasant and well... More

Interesting and informative, but you never actually get inside any college, but a few churches, chapels. I was hoping to see where students actually study, a library maybe, something to inspire my child.

My daughter and I had a wonderful 2 hour tour with the charming and informative Maggie (she was just fabulous). Included King's & Queens' college plus a range of other great sites and I particularly enjoyed the Eagle.

We spent a fun 2 hours learning about central Cambridge in the company of Tim our excellent guide. He was smart, knowledgeable and entertaining. The walk itself was not arduous, it was well-paced and flat, suitable for all ages. Would recommend this tour to anyone visiting Cambridge for the first time. Thanks Tim!

We arrived in town and booked our 2 hour tour at the info center of Pembroke, Kings college, and the town itself. There is so much history here it is incredible. The stories told about the town included war history, scientific breakthroughs, and royal involvement. Pembroke was charming and Kings College, especially the chapel, was excellent. Our tour was no... More

We booked this guided walking tour before we arrived through the Tourist Information Office and thoroughly enjoyed the tour. Our guide Shirley, was very knowledgable and professional and made our walk both interesting and fun. We visited King's College and Queen's College as well as the Eagle pub and Shirley pitched the information provided just right. A little pricey at... More
