Very nice

Nice food variety on the menu. Bit disappointed last time we visited as the heating didn't work so made the visit unenjoyable. Hopefully this is a one off.

Went to this pub following our disappointment with the Village Gate. Short notice booking for a large group pub very busy which is always a good sign. Service was very quick food hot and tasty. Wide variety of choice, food well presented. Definitely visit again and provided good value for money. Well Done to the staff at The Five Bells

In town for a few days and were looked after really well. Service was terrific. Waitress suggestions and hints were right on the money. Baked Brie and then the Beef pie were both fantastic. Good job.

On a cold, wet Monday evening we decided to re-visit The Five Bells and wondered why we'd left it so long to do so. The very fact that the car park was pretty full on a Monday was a clear indication that it was going to be a good evening. As we entered, the Manager made us very welcome and... More

we met friends for lunch and enjoyed a very pleasant meal. The staff were efficient and helpful in deciding what to eat. The food chosen was well presented and good value for money. The wines were served at the correct temperature which is not always the case in places (regardless of price) we have visited. The menu was varied and... More

Poor waiting service, cold food & limited items on the menu. You might want to choose somewhere else to eat.

You get what you pay for? Not always....5 Bells need to improve their fare. Compared with other local eateries, it is no longer a reasonable deal. Tip: DONT order a steak! Puddings and coffee are the beat part of the meal.

a nice modern pub with a laid back feel - good choice of real ales and a varied menu , nothing special and maybe a touch pricey but friendly and helpful staff . Close to RAF Halton training base if you have friends / relatives there

Chips were the best we had on our trip to England -- cooked three times to a great crispy crunch. Delicious beef pie. The sticky toffee pudding was especially good too.

Situation of the pub can be a pain just like the parking but once you get inside, the atmosphere is great and charming. The food is great too.
