Quite the most exotic collection of Parisian furnishings I have ever seen outside France. If you look at the empty rooms of so many chateaux, you wonder whether their belongings have been moved here. If you don't like over-exuberant gilt decoration, it is not for you: a German visitor called it 'sehr kitzisch'! The gardens are well worth a wander. More

All sorts of events on - never been to a bad one. Also just great for a big space to play games in etc when you get bored of your own garden. More

I have to say the house is beautiful, as are the grounds. However, the two strongest memories of my day are the lady in the outside cafe arguing down the ranger-radio and the arrogance of the guides. We left some of our property at the entrance to the house, as understandably requested by the guides. However, when we returned to... More

There is so much to see in this large house that after a while it is too much. Look out for the lamp shade made of cutlery. The grounds are wonderful to wander around and the aviary is a must as is the topiary. You need a lot of time for this house. The restaurant is a bit overpriced More

I often visit Waddesdon Manor when I visit family living nearby. The Manor and gardens are stunning. The restaurant services great food and the shop has interesting pates, cheeses and wines. Lots to do for everyone and if you join the National Trust you can visit as often as you like. More

We live about 30 minutes away and go there regularly to meet up with friends with their children. Lots to do and see with a very impressive house and gardens - would definitely recommend. More

Wanted to show something special to our friends and both them and us loved it. I want to go back and do it again. Great wine shop and had Sunday lunch in the pub near bye . More

We have recently become National Trust members so thought we would pop along to Waddesdon Manor. Been before but today we were just going to wander around the gardens. We had planned to stay about 2 hours so took some lunch. We wandered and wandered and wandered. The gardens, the aviary, the stables, the gift shops. Sat on a bench... More

Waddesdon Manor is an amazing treasure trove of paintings, antiques and furniture. Could be boring but really isn't- the collection is simply stunning. The grounds are beautiful with lovely planting and very pleasant walks. Good cafe although was very crowded when we arrived. Tickets are on a timed basis so advice would be to collect ticket first as you may... More
