In the fall out of a dispute over selling land for housing to support the charity work, the visitors' centre has now closed. The grandkids always enjoyed a visit to the playbarn with its traditional and 'drop' slides. But there was never much else going for it as an attraction.

The closure of this attraction, effective from 28 February 2014, has been announced by the Trustees. A victim of economic circumstances and a failed planning application, my grandchildren will miss it as I will.

At the end of my last review I said that we would be back when the weather was warmer. I never imagined that when we visited on the 29th of December that the weather would be warmer than it was on our first visit in April! Horseworld is an animal charity that rescue's, rehabilitate's and rehomes horses, pony's and donkeys... More

Took the grandchildren there during the holidays. Lots of different horses, ponies , donkeys etc. information and interaction. Kids seemed it like it - but need to like horses!!. Cafe does reasonable food. These people do great charitable things rescuing horses.

I visited this place recently, was smaller than I imagined it being but perfect for my two year old daughter. They have not only horses but a small selection of other farm animals too. They also have a playground and a soft play area which is fab. My daughter really enjoyed herself and by the time we finished two and... More

I've got a deep passion for horse and always have. The work that HorseWorld does is something that I support wholeheartedly and I love to get the chance to visit. Today I visited with my Husband, Sister, Mum and two-year old Niece. My Niece is often very shy but she really came out of her shell here, running around waving... More

Horseworld is a charity close to my heart and they do a fantastic job in rescuing and rehabilitating horses. Walking around looking at the pictures and reading the stories is heartbreaking but seeing the horses now, you realise what a great job they are doing. The set up is good and everything is very clean and tidy and there are... More

Thank you for your comments. Our dedicated teams of staff and volunteers work hard to ensure our visitor centre shows the rescue work of the charity. During the wet, winter months we reduce the number of horses slightly so that we can maintain the quality of the land and give some of our horses a break over the quieter months.... More

Lots to see and do. 2 and 3 year old especially enjoyed the 'mucking out' stable with little sweeping brushes and wheelbarrows. Good training! Many different types of horse and ponies but also donkeys to groom and goats, chickens, a pig, ducks, a small aviary and the stable cat. Facilities are clean, food and drink is good and not over-priced.... More

Stopped for a coffee and a bite to eat after diverting to avoid traffic. The food and drinks are so over priced it is not even funny. Staff friendly.
