Fascinating medieval manor house with interesting collections of Nailsea Glass and Elton Ware pottery. Home to the talented and cultured Elton family for over 300 years, it has a relaxed air and unlike so many National Trust properties these days it has not been overdeveloped with massive car parks, gift shops, restaurants etc. It never seems to be overcrowded or... A wonderful house set in a most interesting garden. Gives uou a real sense of the individuals who lived (and still live) in the house ever since the 13th century. But beware of the ticks hiding in the long grass and the end of the garden.

My partner and I visited the gardens in mid-September 2014, encouraged by the positive reviews. We were disappointed. After seeing many truly great gardens in England this summer, we felt this was OK, though not at its best in this season. The terraced gardens are quite lovely, if not very extensive, and they look onto idyllic ladscape; however the incessant... More

If you are in the area perhaps visiting the much larger Tyntesfield estate take a small diversion and take a look at the delightful Clevedon Court. Gardens are lovely with a great little cafe. Lots to see in the main house with a great collection of historic paintings of bridges and some unusual bi directional paintings on the main staircase.... More

The rain eased off, the sun shone and we saw a gem of a property the timed ticket system worked well. The volunteer guides were excellent with information, anecdotes and explanations and a great deal of knowledge - you just need to ask and engage, they are not like the NT stuffed shirts of old. The hunt the geese competition... More

Open only Wed, Thu & Sun afternoons at present; presumably the family go to the shops or the pub on those days. It is a fascinating mix of a medieval shell with various additions by the family in and around Victorian times. Lots of little corners and narrow staircases mixed with high ceiling-ed halls. Pleasantly furnished throughout. Enthusiastic and knowledgeable... More

This property isn't open every day, so worth checking the website before you visit. Its a charming smaller NT property, but still worth a visit. Home to the lords of the manor of Clevedon for centuries, and still a home today There is a large collection of pottery and glass in the house too, of which I really enjoyed looking... More

Sun was out and we had a really nice afternoon. We took a picnic but you can have tea and scones in the cafe next to the car park. The house is worth a visit and is national trust so the staff are brilliant and will tell you a lol the history of the house. The garden is small but... More

We came upon Clevedon Court almost by mistake having not planned to visit, but we are ever so glad we did. A small property without extensive facilities, but it had everything necessary for a short visit and the staff and volunteers were so friendly and so helpful. A great place for an interesting couple of hours.

This is a magnificent manor house with good gardens and a large collection of Elton pottery manufactured by the owner, on site, in the early 20th century. The house provides few facilities. It is just a lovely place to enjoy, unspoilt and full of character.
