The cruise on Bristol Ferry Boats from Templmeads to the S.S.Great Britain not only connects Brunel's iconic railway station to his nautical masterpiece but, also provides a memorable panorama of Bristol's old and new waterfront. Our Grandchildren enjoyed it as much as us

We took the ferry across the docks with our little lad. What a wonderful view of the docks and our little lad loved every moment. The ferry was very prompt and close up view of the boats within the docks was great. Just do it! Does cost a fortune so thumbs up all round

Bristol Ferry Boats operate ferry services around the Bristol docks etc but they also have special 'guided tours' with commentary so you can learn all about the history of Bristol docks and the Avon. Well priced too. Look for their programme. You can't miss them - they're yellow.

We used the ferry on our recent trip to Bristol and found the crew of the boats really helpful and informative. It is a great way to see the docks from a different angle

Only used it as a service to get me from the city centre to the end of the docks where I had parked my car - but it was a lovely, relaxing little journey that I would recommend to everyone.

The Ferry arrived bang on time. We were greeted by two very friendly crew members who helped us sort out our itinerary for the day. The ferry was quite snug inside even though it was chilly and breezy outside. The ferry boats meet up with each other for connecting trips. Overall we were very impressed by the friendly helpful and... More

It being a lovely, sunny August day myself and a friend were stuck for what we could do in the sun that didn't consist of us just sitting around on our bums all day! We decided to talk a walk along the harbourside when we saw the ferry boats, we literally jumped at the chance of getting on one as... More
