Thanks for a great afternoon tour. Most of our group had seen glass-making demonstrations in the past but all agreed that this was the most informative We heard all about the origins and history of glass-making and watched many types of glass being made. We were made very welcome and all our questions were answered. Many thanks. We'd recommend the tours... More

It was my partner's special birthday, so we went to Bristol. We both went and made a bauble out of blue (or red) glass. It was great fun and the guys there explained the whole process and we actually blew down a metal pole to make the ball. It was then amazing to see how they melt the glass to... More

Having visited for the second time to buy glassware at the Bath Road site in Bristol, I was pleased with my first purchase of wine and whiskey glasses and subsequently a beer glass as a present. The service and welcome has always been excellent. It was on my last visit that I mentioned that a pair of cufflinks had a... More

We had a great visit to this shop where they hand make their own glass. We were met with very friendly staff who offered to stash our suitcases which we had along since we were on our way to the train station. We wandered around the shop and then took in the glass making. It was amazing to see how... More

Thank you so much for your warm comments. It's always possible for us to ship overseas, so don't hesitate to ask if you would like any larger items sent home. We wrap all the items in tissue paper, bubble wrap and then a box to ensure there aren't any breakages. More

We recently visited Bristol Blue Glass as an organised group visit. The staff were helpful and the demonstration extremely entertaining. The co-ordination of a small team of highly skilled glass blowers and throwers was far more entertaining that I had anticipated and highly educational. To top it all off we were offered a discount on purchases made needless to say... More

Enjoyed the demo on how they blow glass baubles and vases. You could see the skill that went into the products and why they are priced highly.

The factory is open for you to watch the glass blowers at work. There was no guide, no description of the process. Instead we were left to our own devices to watch people at work. A previous visitor did blow the glass but my girlfriend was concerned that the tubes may not have been cleaned between guests so didn't fancy... More
