We had a great visit to this shop where they hand make their own glass. We were met with very friendly staff who offered to stash our suitcases which we had along since we were on our way to the train station. We recently visited Bristol Blue Glass as an organised group visit. The staff were helpful and the demonstration extremely entertaining. The co-ordination of a small team of highly skilled glass blowers and throwers was far more entertaining that I had anticipated and highly educational. Enjoyed the demo on how they blow glass baubles and vases. You could see the skill that went into the products and why they are priced highly.

The factory is open for you to watch the glass blowers at work. There was no guide, no description of the process. Instead we were left to our own devices to watch people at work. A previous visitor did blow the glass but my girlfriend was concerned that the tubes may not have been cleaned between guests so didn't fancy... More

I took a group of 30 on a visit to the Bristol Blue Glass Factory in Brislington, Bristol. We were given a facination talk about the history of glass dating back to the Romans (we are an Archaeological Society), all about Bristol Blue Glass, several demonstrations of glass blowing, a nice cup of tea and biscuits.
