Went on the Santa train my Son loved it ,so did Me and the Wife lol going again this year for Christmas.

We had a day out at the avon valley railway its a great day out on the trains its great value for money and has a lovely cafe and has lovely trackside walks too something for everyone.

What a wonderful pre Xmas treat my grandson had, a ride on the steam train and a gift from Santa. Throughout the year there are different events. It doesn't matter what age you are, you will enjoy a visit the staff work so hard to keep it running smoothly

Spent half a day enjoying several rides on the steam train, walking around & eating lovely cake & drinking very good coffee. Our surrogate grandchildren aged 5 & 7 years loved every minute ....

Went with our two young boys on a day with both steam and diesel engines running. Overall the track is not very long so you end up spending as much time waiting in the carriages at the station as you spend moving. Lovely passionate staff and a nice experience. Definitely worth a visit if you are nearby.

A great day out, especially if you have Thomas fan! My friend's two loved it and we all had a wonderful time.

A great trip out from Bitton station on the old Midland main line, from Bath to Bristol You get the chance to go on the train in both directions down and up the line. Very friendly staff and a great ride behind a steam train. Great views from the window and a chance to go over the river.

As someone who regularly cycles along the Bristol Bath Cycle Path ( which runs alongside the railway) I find myself being a regular visitor to the cafe.
