I went to the Stables Cafe today and this was the first time in a couple of months, it was a terrible experience due to a dog running around, barking and nipping at me inside the cafe and also being allowed to jump on the leather furniture with wet paws, the food menu was not good and the actual food was... We're sorry to hear that you didn't have a good experience at the café. We're a dog friendly café now as many of our customers visit regularly to exercise their pets, but we do have Petiquette guidelines in place that are designed to ensure they are under control: it sounds like this owner wasn't following them so we apologise for... It really is such a beautiful place is you want a walk in Bristol. There are lots of different areas of Ashton Court to see. There is very limited parking so if you're able to get there another way I would. The cafe is okay, nothing special. The house it's self is stunning for weddings and the staff are very... More

Glad you enjoy visiting and that you have been here for one of our gorgeous weddings. It's the perfect city-country backdrop isn't it. Do give the café another try though - we've refreshed the décor and are always working on the menu so you might be pleasantly surprised. More

This is a huge park, across the Avon from the city centre, with deer and as many different types of walk as you could want, ranging from muddy gravelled tracks to asphalted paths. Great place for running and dog walking, with views over the city. Brilliant place to walk off Sunday lunch! Pay-and-display car park.

Visited the café in the courtyard today and its gone downhill! Couldn't toast a sandwhich as kitchen closed at 2 despite café not closing until 3, coffee not very hot and dirty used cups and plates on every table and surface. Girl in charge didn't care when complained about it

Sorry to hear that you didn't have a good experience. We've been redecorating this week so things aren't running quite as smoothly as normal. We will raise it with the staff to ensure it doesn't happen again. Hope it doesn't put you off a return visit when the painting is finished. We look forward to welcoming you. More

We've been to Ashton court a number of times to go for a relaxing walk. Its a great place with amazing views of the city of Bristol. There's loads of wildlife to look at with the different types of deer and stag. It's dog friendly and there's a huge area you can walk in for hours.
