We booked a family birthday event on the ship, including a very informative guided tour for our big family group (from 6 months up to 92 yrs). We had afternoon tea in the Hayward Saloon which was amazingly good value, delicious sandwiches & cakes. Praise goes to all the staff, for those they helped organise the event, tour guide, and... This is a first class exhibit and definitely a must go to place. Every detail has been preserved and restored to a very high standard. You get to walk around the outside, under and inside the ship and along the way you can read clear and concise notices that explain everything about the ship, its mechanism and all that went... Loved our visit to the museum. Great interactive displays and very interesting to see the ship, especially enjoyed being able to see the bottom of the ship. The kids had a really great time here - easily one of the best museums we've visited.

Restoration has been done with sympathy and shows the Great Britain as much as possible in her original configuration (she underwent several transformations over the years). There is a great deal of information available at all levels, so she is interesting to someone who wants to see what a first class (or even steerage) passenger in the 1800s experienced as... More

The past and how things were are almost always interesting and this was. I went twice, not that I couldn't get enough I brought a friend to share the experience. I would describe it as a learning curve.

3 times now, twice as a an afternoon out with family/ friends, a glimpse of British engineering at its best, Brunel was way ahead of his time. Business event there once with dinner and tour was fantastic and highly recommended for local companies looking for something different.

Its many years since I visited and the ship now is fully restored and very interesting - 2 hours well spent. This a is well run attraction with an excellent gift shop and nice (but pricey) cafe.

My wife begged me to go and see "the big ship in the distance" after we could see it from our hotel room during our anniversay trip to Bristol, and I'm very glad we did! The ship has been restored expertly well and is fantastic value for money. We spent around 2+hours walking throug the exhibition and then exploring the... More
