One of the best museums I have ever visited. You get to go under the "sea" to see the hull and propellor, great for a cold day as it's kept very warm to prevent corrosion. On deck, you climb the rigging if you've got the nerve (additional charge) Through the hull you get to see all aspects of the ships... More

Were only expecting to be around 1 ½ hours but ended up being over 3. Take advantage of the free headphone sets as they bring the ship to life. There is a choice of 3 versions, Upper class, lower class and crew. The ticket is valid for a year and we would like to go back and listen to another... More

Brilliant attraction to go and see. Took hubby and sons (13 and 8) who LOVED it. Hubby and son number 1 climbed the rigging whilst number 2 and I explored the ship. We then met and explored together. There is so much to see and do. Added bonus was the storytelling. ALL the staff were great and answered any questions,... More

Interesting to both children and adults alike. The SS Great britian is beautiful and the fact you get to return for up to year of entry is good value. The staff are very helpful and pleasant. A couple of words of warning, younger children may find the mannequins a little creepy, my son did! Also there are some strong smells... More

Fantastic place to visit and well worth the price. Only limited contact with staff but found them to be friendly and efficient. Some rather strange comments about unclear layout and stuffy beneath the hull but you can never please everyone . I didnt know anything about this ship before my visit and I came away feeling like I'd learnt and... More

The whole layout of the museum is carefully thought out and couldn't be better. An actor dressed as Isambard Kingdom Brunel met us at the ticket office and the other staff around the museum were helpful, well-informed and cheerful. I knew this was a ship of great significance but did not realise how ground-breaking its design actually was. The first... More

This must be our third visit to this wonderful ship. It is filled with such atmosphere and history that it is easy to spend hours on it! The museum section is fascinating and everyone must watch the video of the great rusting hulk being towed back from the Falklands to the actual dry dock where she was built and now... More

A remarkable day touring a beautifully restored ship with tangible evidence of all the different passengers and cargoes that had been carried on its many voyages. Peeps into personal accounts of the travellers on the ship and lots of information on steam and sail. A museum gave more insights into the making and operation of the ship as well as... More

What an excellent attraction, even taking two young grandchildren aged 3yrs and 5yrs, there was plenty to keep their interest. The work that has gone into setting up this attraction is a credit to everyone involved and it is certainly somewhere I want to visit again,
