I really enjoyed visiting the wonderful SS Great Britain. Yes it may seem pricey but I always hope that the bulk of the fee goes towards conservation. Plus you get a card for the admission fee which allows you to visit as many times as you wish within 12 months from first visit. It is a very interesting ship and... More

Really impressed by the ship and visitor experience. Buy the guide book, you won't take it all in on the day so it is nice to read at your leisure, You won't be disappointed .

To have brought the SS Great Britain back to Bristol was a feat in itself. As a tourist attraction in Bristol it offers a view of the boat, underneath in the dry dock, as the ship is restored. The museum was interesting, though if I had to compare this to the ships in Portsmouth Historic Dockyard, then there is a... More

Having the privelidge of Brunel's shipping masterpiece on our doorstep allows repeat visita. Every aspect of this museum is outstanding. The restoration of the ship, the Historical talks, artifacts, period dressing up for the kids, etc, the setting and presentation, the opportunity to climb the masts, cafe and the gift shop.

Fabulous dry dock bit, wasn't expecting that. There's lots of great info before you get on the ship and examples of "stuff". The ship itself is a fabulous warren, which includes the smells (phooey) and fine examples of how the ship would have been. I got one the talking head sets and was slightly disappointed that it was mainly extracts... More

Interesting for all the family and extremely well done. Even if you're not a history or ship enthusiast, you'll find something here to capture your interest. The usual gift shop, but with affordable stuff for the kids and a cafe, which was fine for a bit of lunch and a drink. I think you'll enjoy it!

This is a great day out, plus your ticket is valid for a year. So much to look at, and they have a photo shoot area where you can dress up in the era and take your own photo as a souvenir without any cost ......really enjoyed this experience

There is little to dislike! Everything about this exhibition is well done and a credit to those who rescued this vessel, restored it and devised this imaginative display especially the "glass water".

Never had such a real sense of how it was at the time as here. From the lost and found notices, overheard conversations, personal bits and pieces in the cabins... Thought it was brilliant
