With coach group, we visited to the SS Great Britain, it is worth to visit because there are a lot of visual to see giving us an imagination what the history was preserved. took us touring around about 2 hours, what an enjoyable day outing e.g. half day plus gift shop and cafe

This is a must see when you are in Bristol. ss Great Britain is just so interesting. worth every penny to have a look at such an amazing boat. Plenty of chances for photographs, take your time to have a really good look round, the detail is just superb with so much information. Hope you enjoy it as much as... More

The SS Great Britain is most certainly Bristol's pride and joy (with the equally famous Clifton Suspension Bridge) and a visit to this unique city is not complete without visiting both these sites. The story of how the ship was rescued from the Falkland Islands 40 or more years ago, towed back to Bristol and then lovingly rebuilt from scratch... More

It's great to see this piece of history preserved for future generations to see. The sort of accommodation available on ships of this era is fascinating as is the fine marble and fine china in the up market dining room. The method of preservation of the old iron has the side effect of making it possible for the vessel to... More

And that's in it's birthplace, the Great Western Dockyard, Bristol. The trust have managed to do an amazing job on the ship over the years. I first visited it on a school trip in the late 70's, when it was just a hulk and health and safety was a concept only. We walked the gangplanks inside the hunk and didn't... More

We had to queue to buy tickets as the process seemed to be quite slow. The tickets are expensive if you are a visitor to the city but if you are able to return would offer better value as they are valid for 12 months. I enjoyed walking around the hull of the ship in the dry dock. It is... More

Very well presented attraction. Lots of interesting information about the ship and the displays are very well put together showing how people would have lived on board at the time.

We had a lovely afternoon here with a large group of adults and children. It was well set out with lots of hands on activities. Several of us climbed the rigging !!

Will definitely take my grandsons here as they would be in their element as I loved it...I'm a bit taller than my ancestors though as a bit too long for their bunks ... Fun for the whole family and a great vision into the history of this beautiful piece of engineering.
