Took my 6yr old we both had a great day, it was value for money as you can go back free for a year which will be going again. Kids can climb the masts which looks good fun, for younger children there is a quiz you can do going around and lots of hands on stuff for children and adults... More

Exceeded all our expectations. The ship is brilliantly presented and appears to be floating on the water. A trip down below to the dry dock shows how this has been done. You will have to visit to find out !! The ship has been lovingly restored and gives a flavour of travelling conditions for its three classes of passenger. They... More

Bristol docks hosts Brunel's SS Great Britain which was the largest 19th century ship of its day. The ship is dry-docked but clever water effects give the illusion that it is floating and that you are under the water looking up at the hull of the ship. There is the oppotunity not only to explore the exterior and interior spaces... More

At Bristol Docks where there are so many things to do you must take time to visit The SS Great Britain. We spent many days here with friends and family over the past year and everyone was enthralled by it, Best attraction .

SS Great Britain is a remarkable achievement, taking a large scale 19th century ship and presenting it for tourists is no mean feat. The most impressive immediate effect is the that she appears to be floating in a dry dock, whilst in fact the trip takes everyone below the waterline to experience the scale and preservation of the ship. The... More

This is the second time I have been on board and it still did not disappoint. But then I like old boats! So much to see and read. This is a well curated museum. Would go again, so I feel definitely worth the entrance fee. I think her glass floor is better than the "Cutty Sark's"

Well laid out, excellent presentation. A little bit expensive at GBP14 per person but we thought it was well worth it!

On Friday I was part of a group of 38 to visit the ss great Britain & would like to say, I enjoy the trip, walking round the ship seeing how life on the ship was & to see how this ship was saved from the mud & transported back to England to be restored. The ss great Britain is... More
