Very well laid out, liked the 'shipwreck' themed tanks. Some unusual fish. Spent about 90 minutes there. Quite expensive compared to some others, but £2 discount can be had by booking online or by ripping out the advert from the Bristol guide. Conveniently close to @Bristol, the interactive science attraction.

I used to go here as a child, but to remember having done that so often is heartbreaking now. Fish and other sea creatures are not supposed to be kept in cages (which is what aquariums are, tiny cages compared to the SEA). Please do not support aquariums or zoos. If you or your kids love animals, visit them in... More

I've read lots of reviews suggesting that it's a small display and it is by no means the largest but I found an entertaining and well presented collection. I loved Patrick the 50 year old lobster and the Pacific octopus. Younger children will likely race through this but for those with curious and watchful kids, it's a great way to... More

Aquarium supposed to fill whole day out, it took 35 mins !!! Most importantly my children were disappointed/ bored. The tanks are small/ one tiny shark! lots of space dedicated to plant life! - There were supposed to be talks but the most interesting to our children was not on Saturdays!! - It ok for a local 'jaunt' for an... Overall saved a few £'s on the online discount, the kids loved it even though its quite quick to get around, went for lunch round the corner afterwards then back in again for the second trip around. Ideal for kids, clean and tidy.

Was looking forward to going to the aquarium, booked online to save £4 only to realise a £1.50 "admin" fee pop up at the end! Got through very quickly not a great deal to see or things to keep kids occupied. Like others I thought it was very over priced for what you get.

Not very big not a great deal of variation in fish. Only took an hour to go round and that was stretching it out, and was £13 entry. I wasn't very impressed unfortunately. Nothing special about this.

I went to Bristol Aquarium with my sister and nephew, aged 10. We spent a lovely couple of hours wandering around the aquarium. It is not the biggest but it was wonderfully set out, with beautiful tanks and a lovely range of aquatic species from the UK and rest of the world. There is plenty of information given to educate,... Visited on a wet day in August with daughter and 2 grandsons. Arrived about 1 p.m and were pleased that it was quite quiet as that meant we could take our time walking around. Great to see such a varied amount of fish especially in the 'glass tunnel' under some of the tanks. Several areas for you to sit and... More

This isnt a huge attraction, you will be done in less than a couple of hours, easy. However, it is very interesting and has a nice selection of species to view. The children really liked moving through the different 'worlds' and it's a very enclosed, directed, route through the aquarium, so you can let the kids go on ahead and explore... More
