We took our Grandchildren aged 3 and nearly 6. They really enjoyed the exhibits and went round again after eating lunch. The staff were really friendly and answered our 5 year old grandson's questions clearly and with patience

Hi Susie, Welcome to the Bristol Aquarium family! You have become a member at an exciting time for us as we have just got some new species including the white spotted jellyfish, glass catfish and giant African land snails! We also have more in our future plans to come so stay tuned! Unfortunately as we do not own our own... More

Lovely place to visit when it's wet, the displays are super for young children as they're all eye level. However, it is very, very expensive for the 2 hours we spent there!

Hi Amy, Thank you very much for your review. Our displays team have been very hard at work this Summer with the theming of our exhibits and so I am glad to hear that you enjoyed them. I have noticed that the children love being able to peer into the tanks at ground level, especially when our rays like showing... More

The aquarium is a wet day out activity. They know this and that's why they charge you £14.00 to go. In Bradley Stoke there is a Pets 'R' us or similar and there are lots of fish tanks in there that are free. In fact you could buy fish in there for less than £14.00 and take them home. Anyway,... Was OK but there's not many marine tanks (one?) and a lot of the other smaller freshwater tanks simply contain the sort of thing you can get from an aquatics shop, not much there that's special, still the big tanks are well done and we spent a good few hours there. Coral reef tank was great and we listened to... More

We visited here with our children (16)+(9). We didn't have any preconceived idea of what it would be like, we were greeted by a very friendly, helpful staff member who informed us that once we had paid we could then use the ticket all day long, which is great if you want to take the children somewhere else to eat,... Great experience, especially for young children. We had a family pass for 2 years, super value for money and a great way to occupy young minds with "let's look for........" games. Information boards could do with being in a larger font as difficult to read in dim lighting conditions by some of the tanks.

Hello, Thank you for your feedback. I am very glad that you find our aquarium to be super value for money - we are always trying to come up with ways to keep all of our visitors entertained during their visit. Did you manage to catch our mermaids this Summer? Tamara Treasure of the Sea and Lily-Rose the English Mermaid... More

Booked online for a cheaper family price of £37. We were in there exactly 45 minutes. I would have liked to ask for my money back. Nothing to interact with or encourage the children to take an interest in the displays. No staff around to talk about the fish. Considering the SS Great Britain is the same price, I have... More

Dear Mrs Russells, I am very sorry to hear that you had a disappointing time with us. Your ticket price reflects an all-day entry which means that even if you manage to get through in 45 minutes you are more than welcome to come back again later in the day to catch some more of our popular talks such as... We really enjoyed our visit to Bristol Aquarium, my only criticism would be the price, quite expensive for really what is a couple of hours entertainment, saying that we really loved the displays of fish, the shark feeding talk and in particular a lovely lady who explain to us all about coral. Kids loved it!
