Visited as it was a rainy day and I love aquariums. Reasonable variety of fish and good educational talks. Didn't think much of the variety visible in the tunnel, I've been to lots of aquariums and seen much better. Still an enjoyable, reasonably priced day out. Beware the price of nearby parking and lots of kids in the school holidays!

Visited on bank holiday in August arrived for 1030 am. £40 for 2 x adults and an 8 year old. Got round the whole place in an hour, there were no interactive displays and actually very few tanks, you get 6-8 different views of the main two but not much else. Got hand stamped so we could come back later,... More

I was surprised with the variety of fish they got there! All the species well explained on a side board, and the Aquarium team made a big effort to build a natural habitat for all the species. From a giant octupus to seahorses and tiger sharks, from cod to giant lobster and jellyfish, loads of tropical species too. There is... More

Granted we went on during the august bank holiday and it's supposed to be full of children and families but the sheer number of pushchairs was annoying. It meant that those that needed access for wheelchairs couldn't get around (not us but something we noticed multiple times). Well thought out and an easy to follow one way system, with a... More

Bristol Aquarium was not like any other aquarium that I have been to before because there was such a variety of creatures in the tanks. It took the four two hours to get round the aquarium, in the average aquarium it takes us about an hour. It took the four of us an extra hour, because there were so many... More

I took my niece & nephew (11 & 12) there yesterday, it was a really nice day out. We spent about 3 hours there , very interesting and educational. There was a lot more there for slightly younger children but we managed to find plenty to do. The staff were all very friendly and helpful and the good thing is... More

A perfectly nice aquarium but there is not much to make you stay longer than a couple of hours. They could make more of an effort with interactive exhibits. Very clean and well maintained. We went to one of the coral reef talks but it was virtually impossible to hear due to poor acoustics also the content was not engaging... More

My husband thought it was a mistake when we got to end. Really not a very good aquarium for the price at all. Won't go back. Sealife centres and the Deep much better. This would be worth a visit if the pricing reflected the standard.

Quite reasonable prices but it is quite small. The kids did enjoy it but it was over very quickly. We were in London aquarium last year & it was amazing. This is on a much smaller scale but still worth a visit.

The title says it all. Well worth a visit. Children really loved seeing all the strange fish and had a much needed lecture on conservation. But it is.pricy.
