There is so much packed into this small place and you could spend quite a while looking at all the intriguing items. There are many things that the "older generation" will remember and will find nostalgic. Younger children would probably just scoot round and not appreciate what is to be seen, but older children and adults would find it more... More

We do offer a quiz for children to keep them amused - please ask at the entrance. You can also just visit the cafe without needing to visit the museum, for your convenience. Glad you enjoyed your visit. More

Only live a short distance from it yet hadn't realised its existence until watching Flog It! But WOW. You must go there Something for everyone - unbelievable collection of all-sorts, well laid-out, very friendly staff (not expensive), cafe - well worth a visit.

A bit of the beaten track but well worth the effort to visit. Has featured on the BBC "Flog It" program. Life over the past century is very interesting and the tractor collection is second to none. Before you leave, visit the farm shop and treat yourself to freshly picked veg. and fresh meat from the Oakham farm

Especially for those of us of a certain age this is a great way to pass a couple of hours indulging in unabashed nostalgia. A wonderful collection of artifacts and machinery of astonishing variety.

You feel bad criticising a local family-run attraction that has clearly been a labour of love but there is so much stuff here it just becomes a bit overwhelming; how many pairs of shoelaces do you need to see? We felt that there was a really interesting museum hiding here and what it needs is a big cull of the... More

This place is in a time warp and it's totally intentional. Most of the stuff is pre 1980s so it will be of most interest to the 50+ but there is plenty here for younger "oldies" too. Cheap admission so well worth a couple of hours browse on a rainy afternoon.
