Just completed the C2C with baggage assistance from the fabulous PackHorse, Simon and Lindsay you should be proud. Their organisation was amazing with their guidance and help with the most amazing knowledgable friendly staff and never once did I doubt my bag would not be there waiting for me as I arrived at each destination! I took the walk over... More

Turning 50 this July, I decided to treat myself to a challenge, so after persuading/coercing three friends to join me, we embarked on an eleven day Wainrights coast to coast adventure June 18-28. Sherpa transported our bags and we stayed in some fab, b and b' s, particularly recomended, Gyll Farm Enerdale Bridge, Butt House Keld, Golden Lion Osmotherly and... More

I wanted to take this opportunity to thank Coast to Coast Packhorse for their assistance recently. I was travelling independently with four friends on the Coast to Coast route (two of my friends travelled by car and took our luggage) when I left an item of clothing behind in St Bee's. I asked Adrian from Packhorse whether he would be... More

Completed the C2C yesterday! Did it with my husband and our dog Snoop to raise funds for 2 dog rescues so because of this we decided to challenge ourselves even more and carry all our own gear (although we didn't camp it, I'm not that dedicated!) The whole experience was just incredible - from the majestic Lake District to the... More

My mate Phil and I recently completed the Coast 2 Coast and what a walk it is. Simon Lindsay & crew at Packhorse booked us into wonderful B and B's & country pubs. At the end of a long day they truly were an Oasis with a hot shower, cold beer, good food & a comfortable bed. Of special note... More

This was our 'challenge' to ourselves following retirement. We did all the planning ourselves, as we usually do for our trips away-for us it is part of the enjoyment doing this. Packhorse moved our luggage for us and they were fantastic - absolutely no problems at all and they definitely made the trip even more enjoyable. We took 16 days,... More

After achieving Everest base camp with my wife in 2012 I somehow persuaded my wife to take on Coast to coast walk. We are keen walkers/Trekkers and at 52 it was just as well. We took the 12day walk program with contours who were excellent with the knowledge of there staff on helping Us to create our 12days with organising... More

Let me get the obvious out of the way first: On the "Sense of Accomplishment" scale, this trek is a 5/5. Even non-hikers can understand the concept of walking across an entire country, and it's not something that most people will ever try. As for the trail itself, I found it challenging, but in a disappointing sort of way. The... More

We have completed six complete C2C walks and soon another. Most of our friends think we are crazy but the beauty of the walk and the feeling of accomplishment draws us back. First, this is not an easy walk. You must have some degree of physical fitness. Some hikers from Europe seem to do this on a routine basis and... More
