My wife and I have just completed C2C from St Bees to Kirkby Stephen- only had 7 days free so tacked the western half. We booked through Packhorse and parked our car in Kirkby Stephen. Packhorse drove us to the start in St Bees. Absolutely great service, good advice and choice of places to stay and flawless baggage transfers. So... More

First of all we would like to congratulate all who finished to day especially Paul and Marie, Paul, blue and his owner's, we did to half way and met lovely people, who were doing the walk especially kym and Chris, it is definitely not a walk in the park , its an experience and challenge I wish everyone could do... I have just completed the C2C, great fun, even if I managed to get lost , a bit , on few occasions. Navigation and compass skills are useful. Packhorse came up trumps with transporting my baggage and overcame a glitch at one location satisfactorily. I also recommend their car parking at Kirkby Stephen and the minibus ride back from RHB.

I did this walk with my wife and youngest Daughter (18) in aid of Cancer Research UK. It turned out to be the most incredible experience of our lifetime and instead of being relieved when we finished we were disappointed it had to end. We used Packhorse to book the accommodation and carry luggage and they were superb. We recommend... More

Eight old school friends celebrated turning 60 by walking the Wainwright Walk, or the C2C, as it is commonly known. across England, Packhorse carried our luggage and I recommend them wholeheartedly. They are a professional organisation who helped us without hesitation. One of us couldn't complete the walk and Packhorse transferred her for most of the way. The walk wasn't... More

What an absolutely brilliant experience. My wife and I did this great walk with 2 other couples. We have done many other walks around the world but this was the longest and probably the best we've done so far. The fact that we only had 1/2 day of rain for the whole trip helped - but I'm not sure it... More

Just finished this walk and had a truly wonderful time. My only complaint was that it went too quickly. We used the Sherpa baggage transfer company and they were extremely efficient. I think one thing to note is that sign posting of this trail is minimal in the Lake District national park and that you need to take extra care... More

My friend and I made some last minute plans to complete the Coast to coast. We couldn't spare 14 days so wondered if we could walk to Kirkby Stephen then cycle the middle section. I'm so pleased I discovered C2C packhorse at that point and called them for advice. They were very helpful and flexible, were willing to transport and... More

Walked this with my 3 sisters July 10-25. We called it Walk of the Ages because our combined ages added up to miles we walked. This is an outstanding trail to walk with varied terrain, cute villages and great pubs. We used Packhorse to transport our luggage, they did a great job. We booked our own B & B's, pubs... More
