We visited for a short afternoon before meeting others for tea and did not have enough to time to fit it all in. So much to see and learn that I can hardly list it all here. We all loved every bit of the museum and the gift shop was brilliant for Christmas shopping! Nice cafe but a little pricey... More

We decided to visit partly because we love craft centres and partly because its opening times were earlier than most other places. There is very convenient car parking and the area around the mill is very pretty. We loved the area planted with cereal crops and corn-field wild flowers - that was a touch of inspiration. We were, however, very... More

I have been going here for years and buy most of my flour, oats and muesli from them. The muesli is the best! The craft centre is fantastic and kids will love all the ducks. My favourite craft there is the blacksmith.

It's interesting to see the working mill and the flour is good. There are also a number of working craft shops selling interesting items - glass pictures, ironwork, upholstery, woodwork etc and a large gift shop. The cafe is also good. Lots of interesting things to go with interesting salads. And hearty soups etc.

Well signed with a good free car park and interesting local businesses showcasing locally produced crafts. A reasonable tearoom and a river walk in pleasant setting

Brilliant sunshine, a mill race, sheep and lambs nearby. A cafe serving featherlite cakes accompanied by a pot of flavourful tea and all this plus viewing a working water mill set some 30 minutes from the heart of Sheffield . Incredible! Obviously the weather played a vital part but the mill is with a visit whatever, living history with the... More

We just dropped into the Mill shop - and it was a little disappointing. Lots of things in it but most of the items were commercial and not so much home made and crafty, as we had expected.

Really enjoyed our visit here. The cafe is excellent serving vegetarian food but even my meat loving teenage son enjoyed the sausages! If you are planning on visiting the cafe for lunch go early since it gets very busy. The mill is fascinating and the gift shop has a nice selection of goods - not tat. There is a lovely... More

Only visited the mill to look at the craft shops that they have there, the glass shop was lovely and the owner was welcoming, Visited the gift shop was full of unusual gifts and trinkets for all to enjoy.

My little boy loved visiting the mill and has been talking about it all week. We visited it 2 days in a row. Perfect for rainy day activity. Visited the gift shop too which has lovely stock although a couple of the staff are not very friendly.
