I love to take photos. Rarely can I "catch" a butterfly in the wild. Here, there were so many flitting about, that I figured out how to snap a number of good pictures. Plus there are birds and a few other critters. Definitely a fun place. Close to Butchart Gardens, so if you're driving, it's worth a stop after visiting... More

We have returned will our grand children again and were not disappointed with all of the varieties of colourful butterflies / birds / moth. The facility is not large, however its layout allows everyone to enjoy a stroll in an enchanting atrium! The plants & water displays have fragrant atmosphere, we will return for an evening viewing next time. Lots... More

This garden is small compared to most Butterfly conservatories, but don't let the size fool you. Packed into this attraction are knowledgeable, well trained staff, an open butterfly rearing system, and some very fine specimens. They are doing a great job creating an interesting attraction that will delight the children, interest the enthusiasts, and charm the rest. Don't just walk... More

I loved the Butterfly Gardens. I had no idea what to expect and it was a great visit. You don't have to be there long to enjoy it or you can hang out there and really watch the butterflies. The butterfly garden has hundreds of butterflies of many many types flying around. They are so plentiful they kept landing on... More

I have been to the butterfly gardens in Florida and loved it. So was excited to go to another one. This one paled in comparison. Quite small actually. However, it was still nice and we took tons of pictures. Had I not gone to a better one prior to this, I probably would have liked this one much more.

Hello Sharon S Thank you for your review. We are glad that you enjoyed your visit to the Jungle and I understand your comment about the Butterfly Gardens in Florida. If you have the chance to visit an outdoor facility, like the one in Florida, it is a completely different experience. For obvious reasons,(weather), we are unable to duplicate that... More

We made friends with the bird Little E. He was amazingly beautiful. Lots of butterflies. It was a nice stop on the way to the gardens. It was small, so didn't take too long. Lots of butterflies, but we have that by our house, so not unfamiliar. Could be why we were quick. Lots of other little animals to find... More

It's like being in a sauna here with the rainforest vegetation, pond & constant temperature. The variety of butterflies is amazing & ever so colourful. They are so swift as they fly around the plants. The enclosure also is home to flamingoes, tortoise, poison dart frogs, parrots & koi fish. It's good to return to the shop to cool down!
