Splendid little gem

Not huge but worth a visit especially if you were at the Gardens just next door. Free flying butterflies and moths. Also some other animals. Well worth it.

With a free pass from Tourist in your home town, I was talked into visting Butterfly World. What a wonderful surprize I had. The butterflys were amazing and the water falls, ponds and greenery were beautiful. I will return again and probably again to see this wonder land.

It is lovely.... we entered and were instantly unsure where to look... there was something to see everywhere we looked. I am an avid amateur photographer and could not put the camera away... over 100 photos... patience was needed for that, but I got some amazing shots. Met one of the birds up close, Little E-- who was sweet and... More

We visited here after we went to the Butchart Gardens. I read some harsh reviews regarding the place, not warranted. Although this is a small facility (in Cape Town South Africa, there is a much larger Butterfly World with larger variety of animals and birds and reptiles), we still loved looking for everything. We found the blue and gold Mccaw,... More

We thoroughly enjoyed looking at all the many different butterflies - several took a fancy to lovely husband's green t-shirt (could be a good colour to wear if you want them to sit on you - or tie a rotting banana to your head). The flamingos seemed happy treading on the koi carp they share a 'river' with and we... More

Hello Janemarshall94 Thank you for the very favourable review. Little E is truly a character! He loves almost all of the women who come into the gardens. He is a very friendly bird and lives for the attention. I am glad you took the time to see everything and we hope that you will come back again soon. More

I love going to this place anytime of year, but especially when it's cold and grey outside. You step inside and if feels like you are in a tropical rain forest. There are lots of amazing photo opportunities with all ever changing butterflies. There are also Parrots, Flamingo's, Turtles and even now a 4ft iguana. The location is also very... More

Took our three girls ages 8, 5 and 2 and it was a blast for everyone! We spent a couple of hours enjoying the warm air and trying to find all the different types of butterfly's. A highlight for our girls was having the butterfly's land on them as well as a parrot. Neat little attraction... glad I got it... More

Lots of butterflies, an iguana, flamingoes, turtles and parrots. Something for everyone even flowers. It is a good place to take children especially during school break when they have imported more butterflies. Great place to experience the tropics during the winter.

They have an incredible amount of butterflies and it was really cool to just walk around and see the varieties. They also have a parrot, lizards, a couple of flamingos and fish.
