For an experience that produces a sheer sense of wonder, it's hard to beat the Butterfly Gardens. You'll catch your breath the moment you enter and see hundreds of butterflies hovering above your head, chasing each other through the lush foliage, and feeding on fruit and flowers. See cocoons of many varieties and watch them emerging. Feel your heart skip... More

We had a blast in this place. We were absolutely floored with the variety of butterflies and birds. We had so much fun walking around and loved the turtles and flamingos in the water. Definitely worth the price of admission.

It was an option to stop here as part of a package to visit Butchart gardens and we are so glad we did. Butterfly farms can't differ too much from each other but what made this one stand out was the interaction with the staff. They really knew their stuff and were so keen to share their knowledge with you.... More

I have been to this Butterfly Gardens twice, as well as another one up-Island. For me, the only time I crave to go to Butterfly Gardens is during our rainy, often grey winter days. Here at Butterfly Gardens, you get a brief reprieve from our winter days. Butterflies prefer sunny times; however there are always butterflies to 'savor' - visually.... More

My husband and I visited the Butterfly Gardens for the second time on this vacation. I love how you can interact with all the animals and all the colorful butterflies. Being able to roam freely with the butterflies and birds is a much better way to get the experience rather than having to view behind a cage. I can't wait... More

So let me be clear when i say the enclosure is small, it was small for walking around in that we walked around the enclosure about two and a half times. There are butterflies to see and they have room to fly around and land on top of you. There's also varieties of Parrots, Flamingos, Turtles, and Moths to look... More

Hello PhoenixRising7 Thank you for the positive review. We are sorry if your visit was compromised in any way by our need to keep our jungle under control. We try to do most of the work before we open or after we close but at times it is necessary to do it when we are open. We do our best... More

We really enjoyed our visit to this Butterfly Garden. Any questions the kids had were answered by the crew over there. Beautiful variety of butterflies as well as displays. Other guest there included flamingos, turtles, parrots and poisonous frogs! Really nice experience.

Lots to see from butterflies to flamingos to ducks to a very large iguana. This was pretty interesting. We stayed about an hour with butterflies landing on us as we walked.

If you've been to a butterfly garden before, this will not be extraordinary. Sadly, many butterflies were sucked into the fans blowing towards the outside.

Hello NGriffith Thank you for your review. I am sorry to hear that you did not find our garden anything special. I am more concerned with the impression that you were left with that "many butterflies were sucked into the fans blowing towards the outside." While it is true that the butterflies can get caught in the air current that... More
