My family and I had a great visit to butterfly world. Our group ranged from 2 years old to 79 years old, and we all enjoyed it. Lots of opportunity to see butterflys and interesting plants - flamingos and parrots too! It's very humid. I really liked that there was a "hand warmer" aka lens warmer for your camera to... More

My wife, son (12), and I went to the Butterfly Garden as part of a day of sightseeing, and it really was a great choice. I'm a guy who really isn't into that kind of stuff, but I left a convert. It was very interesting, with a lot to see in all of the little nooks and crannies of the... More

I am sorry to have to disagree with some previous comments, but the last review sums it up. I too probably saw no more than 100 butterflys (if that). The price was high (about 42) for two adults and a 10 year old, considering the same day we went to Butchardt Gardens for a little bit more in price ($67)... More

Hello Alison P Thank you for the review. I am sorry to hear that your visit was not what you were expecting. Your experience seems to differ from that of other reviews on the same date so I am at a loss to explain why you only saw 100 butterflies, we do have upwards of 6000. When it comes to... More

Well, the pamphlets were pretty as was the small tropical garden. We counted 11 butterflies and 1 parrot in the first section, which turned out to be the only section. When we inquired as to the location of the other 5,089 butterflies we were told that we had just "missed them" as they were in various stages of their life... More

Hello kbk133 While we appreciate all the people who review us on all forms of Social Media, I have to correct the numerous errors in your review. 1. The flamingo you refer to is actually a pair of flamingos. They do not make a daily appearance at 4:30p.m. They are in fact wandering in the stream and pond 24 hours... More

Small, not many butterflies but a jungle like setting was good for young grandkids...my 12 yr old was a bit bored. We liked the frogs, lizard and parrots....and the emerging area...but felt was overpriced considering it only took 1 hr to leisurely view the small area.

Hello connie B Thank you for your review. I am a little puzzled regarding your review. We do have upwards of 6000 butterflies in the gardens at any given time. If the butterflies are not in flight at the time of your visit it could be a number of natural factors at work that we do not control. Even if... More

This was such a pleasant experience. Yes the building is somewhat small but the atmosphere and the animals were quiet a treat. We sat and watched two flamingos, koi, turtles and listened to a cascading waterfall while we pretended for a short while we were in the tropics. With butterflys floating everywhere, parrots calling and amusing turtles eating their lunch.... More

Hello Noluck7 Thank you for the wonderful review. We are glad that you did not miss us either.Sorry to hear that your husband overheated. I loved seeing all the different butterflies flying around the garden but thought the entry fee was a bit spendy for the size of the building. I found the exhibit with all different stages of cocoons to be really interesting.

During a saturday wine hunting expedition we decided to try out here ( one of the spots recommended by the Swans front desk). Having visited the Conservatory in Niagara Falls I wasn't expecting much as the building is quite a bit smaller.
