Took our three girls ages 8, 5 and 2 and it was a blast for everyone! We spent a couple of hours enjoying the warm air and trying to find all the different types of butterfly's. A highlight for our girls was having the butterfly's land on them as well as a parrot. Neat little attraction... glad I got it... More

Lots of butterflies, an iguana, flamingoes, turtles and parrots. Something for everyone even flowers. It is a good place to take children especially during school break when they have imported more butterflies. Great place to experience the tropics during the winter.

They have an incredible amount of butterflies and it was really cool to just walk around and see the varieties. They also have a parrot, lizards, a couple of flamingos and fish. I overestimated the time it would take (it is on the way to the ferries and I allotted 2 hours but it is really only about an hour... More

This was a great way to spend a few hours! The cost was a bit high in my opinion, and I'm not sure if I would pay that much to do it again, but glad we did this one time. There was a lot of beautiful butterflies to observe, as well as many other exciting creatures! It is very hot and... More

We just had our first visit and it will not be our last. We went not really sure what to expect. As soon as we walked is you feel the warm tropical atmosphere. And then you see the fluttering of the butterflies. It felt magical. We were pleasantly surprised that there was much more then butterflies. Parrots, flamingos, koi fish,... More

Well I love butterflies, so it was bound to be a good experience. There are the usual displays of butterflies in various stages of development. I particularly liked that as we walked through the gardens, there were coloured, plastic markers placed on the plants that indicated where eggs, or pupae or caterpillars were currently. Watch out for them. The gardens... More

Tired of the cold, grey, wet Victoria days, my friend and I decided to grab our cameras and enjoy an hour or two in the warm, tropical heat of Butterfly World. It's a lovely tropical paradise, filled with colourful butterflies, birds and extremely friendly parrots that suddenly land on your shoulder and want to cuddle! It's not a big exhibit,... More

Hello purevanillaVictoria Thank you for the kind review. I wanted to address a few points in your review so that everyone can have a camera friendly experience. In the gardens and on our map there is "Camera Warmer" highlighted. In the winter especially, cameras have a habit of fogging up so please make sure to use the camera warmer prior... More

I've been working in Victoria for 2 months and I'm so glad I visited the butterfly gardens early on. I bought an annual pass the first day so that I could return to visit Little E, their Eclectus parrot again! He's the friendliest bird I've ever met, following me all over the gardens twice now, sitting on my shoulder, and... More

My husband and I visited the butterfly garden with out one year old daughter and we had a great time! She was in a backpack and the butterflies kept landing on it right in front of her. We very much enjoyed our visit here, but it is very small and didn't take long to go through. It is worthwhile to see, but they are charging probably double what I'd consider fair for what you get.

Hello Barbara M Thank you for your review. I am glad to hear that you enjoyed your visit to the Gardens, but, I am sorry to hear that you felt we are overpriced.
