We made friends with the bird Little E. He was amazingly beautiful. Lots of butterflies. It was a nice stop on the way to the gardens. It was small, so didn't take too long. Lots of butterflies, but we have that by our house, so not unfamiliar. Could be why we were quick. Lots of other little animals to find... More

It's like being in a sauna here with the rainforest vegetation, pond & constant temperature. The variety of butterflies is amazing & ever so colourful. They are so swift as they fly around the plants. The enclosure also is home to flamingoes, tortoise, poison dart frogs, parrots & koi fish. It's good to return to the shop to cool down!

My youngest daughter (3 yrs old) and I went to Butterfly Gardens for the first time. She loved it! There are so many different butterfly's, birds and fish to see. My daughter really liked the tortoises and fish pond. She thought the waterfall was a lot of fun too. I'm sure we will be back in the future. Nice thing... More

This is not my first visit here, each visit just gets better. They have added a bunch more animals, like the parrots, and tortoises and the iguana, which freaked me out cos it kept looking at me, lol and it seamed every time i went to look at it it turned and watched me. However another good visit.

A hidden gem here near victoria. Great photo of the butterfly types and other "inhabitants" (turtles, poison arrow frogs, birds, etc). A first class establishment. My teenage doughter was sort of ho-hum about going in, and was very excited when we left. Very close to Butchart Gardens, so they can easily be done together.

Visited the garden and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves!! My family relies heavily on Trip Advisor and we agree this establishment deserves five stars. The tropical garden was gorgeous - being from Florida, we have all of your plants in our garden too!! The Victoria Butterfly Garden was one of highlights this year. It surprised us by its well thought out design. While the butterflies are the stars, the tortoises and other wildlife we saw, rounded out our visit.

This place is fantastic. From the outside it doesn't look much but wait until you get inside. Its like a mini botanical gardens with masses of different butterflies flying around freely. Many times the butterflies landed on us. There were also tortoises, flamingoes, parrots, iguana etc. Make sure you take your camera! The young guy in the shop was most... More

This is my second visit to butterfly gardens. This is a great place for anyone who loves nature. It's a different experience to be amidst butterflies so close. A few will land on you, just stay still :) Parrots, tortoises, iguana, flamingo etc. are all there. We missed spotting Zeebra finch during this trip though. Usually tree hugging Iguana came... More
