Had a great time! This is the best way to go for whale watching off of Vancouver Island. You're on a rubber speed boat that is low to the water and the groups are maxed out at 12, so it's a very personal experience. I was glad I chose them when I saw other boats near the whale's with 50+... More

We had an amazing time. Lance was professional, knowledgeable, and mindful of not disturbing the whales, sea lions and seals we saw during our trip. My family and I had a great time and saw not one but two pods of whales! The sea lions and seals were a nice bonus.

It was a first time experience for seven friends and family including one four year old girl. Simon was an amazing guide who provided us with some wonderful memories. His knowledge and passion really added to the experience. I would highly recommend him and his company!

If you're looking not only to encounter some whales, orcas and other sea mammals, but to live an enriching experience on the North Pacific Ocean, EcoVentures Whale Watching in Cowichan Bay (Vancouver Island) offers nice tours guided by Captain Simon and friends. I would say, though, don't go too early in the season because you would hardly see any whales... More

We were visiting our daughter who lives in Cowichan Bay and saw an advertisement for the whale watching trip. We decided to book some seats. It was an inflatable boat and we were provided with warm wet weather gear. It was a lovely sunny day in early October and we saw and followed pods of Orcas and saw a Minkie... More

This summer we did a road trip to Vancouver Island. One spot we really loved was Cowichan Bay. Found this whale watching tour. Very reasonably priced (there were four of us). The tours lasts a few hours and it's amazing how far out you go. We saw many whales, but what made it really special was the knowledge shared by... More

This was top-notch whale watching for certain. It was a long ride out, but Simon knew exactly where the whales were, and we watched two groups of transient orcas meeting, hunting (seals, and a big sea lion that got away), also relaxing and playing about. Admittedly some of the action is under water, but Simon explained what was happening very... More

I was really impressed! I took my friends on this trip, and we went in an open boat, with 9 people on board. The trip took us 4 hrs, It was a beautiful sunny day, and we went searching for Orca's. We saw many Orca's playing and jumping. I took my Go Pro camera, and put it underwater to hear... More

We had a fantastic trip! If you can only do one trip on Vancouver Island it must be this one. Simon certainly knows where to find the whales - we saw humpback and minke. We watched for an hour as the minke whales played - fascinating. We also saw sea lions, seals and a variety of sea birds. I was... More
