Large with lots to see. Tricky floor plan which meant you missed some things - even with the map - I would get audio guide next time.

I've visited Rijksmuseum at Schiphol Airport on several occasions. It opens at 6 am and contains a rotating exhibit of very fine artwork. Though small, it's a true joy to be able to experience something of this quality during a layover in Amsterdam.

Visited the Rijks Museum in Amsterdam in early October. An amazing place with 4 large floors that included paintings, sculpture, weapons, tapestries and so much more pertaining to the early life and times of Amsterdam and the Netherlands. While we only spent three hours there visited each floor and focused on those items of interest to each of us. You... More

Came here 10 years ago and again November 2014. The museum had had a spectacular upgrade. It's simply beautiful! The artwork is amazing, still housing the masterpieces of Rembrandt. The Night Watch is not to be missed. Highly recommend.

Had to go back a second time after three hours in the art galleries, to see the many collections of artefacts. Can be a little confusing finding your way around. We also had a good light meal in the central restaurant. Wandered around the pool and gardens outside. One very pleasant surprise - cameras are not banned.

The building and the surroundings are overwhelming! Very interesting museum, with an interesting collection. The rooms with the Rembrands and Vermeers is outstanding.

You go upstairs inside this museum in the airport and find an exhibit (that changes from time to time) of art that is somehow related. You can get a close-up look at some of the best art in the world and compare one painting with another. A great learning experience, a lovely way to spend time in an airport, and... More

The remodel of the Rijksmuseum is outstanding. The last time I visited was 15 years ago and the transformation is beautiful. Everything is displayed by era so it's easy to see and compare other artists of the same period.
