Be sure to check out this trendy little cheese factory. Environmentally sound and local oriented, you'll love their selection of local and imported cheeses. I've been here a few times over the last year with friends and it always goes over well. The staff are knowledgeable and friendly and create a fun atmosphere. The gentleman they had working there over... More

I’ve been a fan of Fifth Town cheeses since the beginning. Although the new owners seem to have done their best to keep the cheese making alive in the traditional sense, their retail outlet at the cheese factory now suffers from poorly trained, unknowledgeable staff and inconsistent hours. As many have noted, it’s a long, although picturesque drive out to... More

Great selection of cheese to sample prior to purchasing. Excellent selection from mild to well aged (bite the back of your throat). Service was excellent and the staff was very knowledgeable about the product. Worth the drive.

Say delicious! A little bit off the main strip... but not too far out of the way, this cheese shop is a must for cheese lovers. Really great selection of cheese made in their local "caves" -- from cow to sheep, and goat to buffalo. One even marinated in grappa that is a MUST!

Better than Blackriver cheese in that the store employee was very knowledgeable about the cheeses he sold and the process for making them. The quality of the cheese is excellent and in particular the spreadable goat cheese was a big hit with us. A little bit of a drive to get there, but the cheese is high quality made naturally.... It was a sad day when the old Fifth Town went under, but we were glad that someone in the cheese business took over the facility! After waiting a couple of years production to run again, we visited again last week. We were certainly happy to see som of our old favourites (although the Lighthall Tomme is still not back... More

The only problem with this place is that it's too far from where I live! But maybe that's a good thing because we would spend too much money and eat too much cheese. SO GOOD! Its a long drive from other parts of Prince Edward County but the scenery along the way is beautiful and the destination is worth it.

Some interesting cheeses, focusing mostly on goat milk, or in some cases water buffalo milk cheeses. They also had a variety of interesting imported cheese.

Everything from the eco-friendly building, to the friendly staff, to watching the cheese being made a few feet away, to tasting whatever cheese you want make this an absolutely must see on any trip through Prince Edward County. The staff are very knowledgeable and helpful and generous with tasting samples, as they know it's almost impossible to leave empty handed... More

I am so glad we stopped at Fifth Town Artisan Cheese. The building itself is a most interesting facility to view. But what is inside is best of all. Paula let us taste some of the amazing cheeses and was just a real gem with lots of info and tips. We purchased two of the Fifth Town chevres (goat cheeses)... More
