Everything from the eco-friendly building, to the friendly staff, to watching the cheese being made a few feet away, to tasting whatever cheese you want make this an absolutely must see on any trip through Prince Edward County. The staff are very knowledgeable and helpful and generous with tasting samples, as they know it's almost impossible to leave empty handed... More

I am so glad we stopped at Fifth Town Artisan Cheese. The building itself is a most interesting facility to view. But what is inside is best of all. Paula let us taste some of the amazing cheeses and was just a real gem with lots of info and tips. We purchased two of the Fifth Town chevres (goat cheeses)... More

There is nothing better than meandering the countryside visiting wineries and then finding a wonderful snack. We tested a variety of soft cheeses including nettle and lemon cheese with crostini. We left with armloads of cheese and crackers ready for the next winery. The service was great and the ladies very helpful in sampling and guiding flavours. Lovely!

If you are visiting Picton, Prince Edward County, you must visit the Fifth Town artisan cheese maker. Selection is somewhat limited but, what is available is extraordinary in quality and taste. They were out of business for a couple of years, however they reopened recently and likely require more time to make a greater variety of cheeses. I tried all... More

Laura ( I believe was her name) was fantastic, very personable and friendly! We were encouraged to sample the cheeses we were interested in, and in the end we went with the bootlegger, the pecorino and our friends bought some sort of sausage:) It was near the start of our tour of many wineries and was perfect to nibble on... I had purchased Fifth Town Cheese in the past from Farmer's Markets in Toronto and was very impressed. We finally decided to make a trip up to Prince Edward County and make the facility part of our visit. After tasting a variety of delicious cheese, we chose a cheese platter to bring home with us. As per a previous reviewer,... More

We were very happy that Fifth Town is open again. The staff gave us several tastes of different cheeses we were interested in and we came home with our favourites. There is also a nice selection of homemade jams and other items. It is just a small store but very personal. We have enjoyed the wine and cheese tasting event... More

After reading several articles on-line I really looked forward to a taste visit. We were not disappointed and loved so many of the samples we tried. Outstanding flavours and unique selection. But it was only when we arrived home to find what we thought was locally made chees from The County, turns out to be imported from Italy and repackaged... More

Attended a Saturday cheese tasting with wine pairings at fifth town cheese. The store has been re-opened under new management that has food experience. The tasting is a tremendous value-$20 for 5 cheeses and 5 wine pairings. I think the owner realized how tremendous it was as a comment was made on "how generous he cheese portions were"...don't know if... More
