Took a 2.5 hours whale watching tour with Brain the Captain. Brain is very knowledgable with the area. We saw blad eagles, sea lions and whales. Once Brain spotted the whales he would stop the boat for us to watch. Since it was not allowed to approach the whale within 100 meters. One of the whale however approached the boat.... More

Absolutely amazing! Brian knows how to make it easy and fun, and so that you feel " one on one " with the nature, which is totally gorgeous there. We saw eagles, sea lions and whales.. When we saw the whales, Brian stopped the boat to watch, as its not allowed not approach them, however one whale was curious enough... More

I went on the 'Islands, whales and bears' tour on a beautiful summers day - I was still given an huge overcoat to wear, which seemed a little extreme at first but when you're out on the sea you're really thankful for it! My boatman was Bob and I really can't praise him enough - he was just so so... More

My husband and I booked the Broken Islands and sunset tour with Brian. We knew that we wouldn't see any whales this time of year but the wildlife we saw was wonderful. Seals, sea lions, bald eagles and a variety of bird species were all out to be seen. The zodiac ride was a blast and the sunset was glorious... More

Brian was our captain on the Dixie IV and provided a relaxing trip with plenty of useful information at all the right times. Before we'd got out to sea we'd seen bald eagles, great blue herons and californian sea lions. Once out on the ocean it took a while but we eventually saw a humpback tail lobbing and breach and... We picked a calmish misty/rain day as forecast wasn't promising. Floater coats are good but you must be prepared with warm underclothes and good waterproof gloves. It's a 3 hour trip and you are just sitting out. Brian the owner is great, easygoing, knowledgeable. He did his best to find whales late in the season and didn't disappoint us. 3... More

Being in Ucluelet, one should not refrain from taking a zodiac ride "to do some whale watching". The Broken Islands bay is an ideal feeding area for the big mammals. We opted for Subtidal Adventures, without any regret afterward. Although a storm was announced for later on the day, we took the morning trip with skipper Bob. He navigated us... More

We joined an afternoon tour with Skipper Bob. It was just great. We saw Siegerland whales: Grey whales, Humpback whales. Bob was very keen on sharing his Knowledge. And the best of all: we even saw a Humpback whale jump! Thanks Bob for this Trip!

The lists on the " yesterdays sightings" boards outside the whale watching offices do lure you in.......but be warned. we enquired in the morning and booked an afternoon whale watching trip for 2 on the cruise boat, rather than the inflatable, and turned up on the jetty at the given time......to be told that the cruiser boat had a problem... Brian took us out on a whale watching cruise. Our guide was very knowledgable. We saw a black bear and cub, a bald eagle, harbour seals, humb back whales, sea lions and 3 pelicans that where a bit of a surprise. We had a very enjoyable afternoon.
