Captain Brian was a pleasure. We took our family on the Dixie IV boat, since our kids are under six...we thought it would be better than the zodiac. Great weather, fantastic experience...we would highly recommend this whale watching trip!!

Fabulous trip. Knowledgable skipper & guide, Brian, knows exactly where to see whales etc. Small steady & stable boat & just a few people made for an exciting great afternoon!

This was a once in a lifetime experience. My girlfriend and I ended up having the boat to ourselves last Friday, February 27th. After a quick ride we stopped in a flock of about 20 bald eagles feeding/catching fish out of the water around the boat. Then in the distance we began to see spouts of whales! Before we new... More

A group of 4 of us booked a last minute trip on the zodiac with Brian at Subtidal. We had no idea that we would soon be experiencing one of the most amazing and beautiful days of our lives! The sun was shining and the little zodiac made its way up into Barclay sound. Almost immediately upon arriving we started... More

Unfortunately this tour was very bad! Actually, the worst tour we have ever done. It was 4 of us - we went on the Zodiac with some other people and all of us were so disappointed in what happened. They just want your money - they don´t care if you see whales or not, once they get your money, they... More

I spend a lot of time on the Wildpacific - it's the wild refuge that fills our souls. Have gone out with the big guys and it's safe but nothing spectacular. We tried Subtidal Adventures this last time and oh my, we went places I'd never been. We were able to get so much closer to rocky shores than in... More

Went in August but weather was shocking - thick fog and rain! However we went on the Zodiac not expecting much. However we saw seaotters, sealions, bald eagles and a humpback whale. So result. They tried hard when frankly I thought there was little hope! So whatever the weather you might be lucky. Felt really safe and the boat driver... More

Took a 4 hour tour on the Dixie IV today. It was very foggy but they went ahead anyway. The wooden boat is reminiscent of the "Minnow" from Gilligan's Island and could not see where we were for the majority of the tour so had to trust that Brian (Shipper) knew where he was going. Saw some wildlife faintly but... More

We went for the 4 hours whale watching tour with Dixie IV in July 2014. There were no other passengers, so that we enjoyed a quite private atmosphere. We saw some bald eagles, seals, sea otters and sea lions. Although not finding any whale, we were very impressed by the amazing landscape and scenery. Seeing whales would just have been... More
