This is a great hike - nice trails, not strenuous (so good for all ages and abilities), lots of fun trees for the kids to climb along the way. Great scenery and photo ops, especially at the light house.

Good views, will see some sea life. Recommend going on a windy day to watch the waves crash in. You are well above the shore line for the most part.

The trail is very well kept and you get beautiful views of the rocky coast and the ocean. Depending on the tides you may see a lot of spray which is nice. Very scenic and not crowded at all.

Take your time and enjoy this outstanding trail. Was troubled to see a group of 3 desecrating the final resting place of a ship wreck along the trail. Really? No need to climb all over it...one idiot was smoking at the same time.

I hiked this trail with a group of people in late Spring weather (i.e. rain). If you go, be prepared for changeable weather and have waterproof gear. We encountered a West Coast storm which caused the Darling RIver to rise so high our group was forced to build lean to's in the wee hours on the oceanic beach. And then... More

We didn't have much time on our stop on Vancouver Island so we had to pick: and we picked Ucluelet! We were NOT disappointed! We stayed in a very nice little cottage in the woods and took a boat trip out onto the ocean, walked along the fantastic shore and saw a lot of bears...

We did the lighthouse trail first and it was awesome you get a lot of different views of the ocean. Did the trail by Blackrock resort second and was even better with more waves hitting rocks and a more larger viewing area of the ocean. Third we did the Ancient cedars trail which is cool in its own way with... More

It isn't a lengthy walk and not too difficult terrain for any level of walker. Worth the time and effort. The views were spectacular; along the way there are signs with information about the history of the trail, a shipwreck and a working unmanned lighthouse.

One of the Worlds best walk, not hike. It's just a pleasant stroll through a well maintained path, surrounded by huge and old cedars. The winding path takes you to the edge of the Ocean rock giving you stunning views many times. You have to be careful not to say awesome too much but you really can't help it. I... More
