Overlooking Barkley Sound and the Broken Group Islands to the east and the open Pacific Ocean to the south and west, it offers spectacular shoreline panoramas and seaward vistas through ancient cedar and spruce-framed viewing platforms constructed on the best headlands along the route. « less

Many different views and you can walk for as long or as short as you want. Very well maintained and has many perches along the ocean.

Great trail that is fairly wide and well maintained. Great views of the coast line. Lots of "turnouts" with benches. No expensive hiking gear required!

Several access points and trail in great shape. An eye open for bears and cougar especially with tiny kids and small pets is encouraged. Views and sounds of rough ocean are awe-inspiring. Brilliant trail and just enough for many people. Good gravel conditions. Fairly flat terrain - easily walked.

What a beautiful trail. We have visited in February and May. The waves crashing on the rocks is amazing. A must see.

There wasn't anything that I didn't like. Wonderful trail, not too difficult. It is easy to choose how far you would like to walk, and do parts of it.

We walked the shorter walk to the lighthouse and found it a wonderful mix of various scenery...rocky coves, weird tree formations, and the lighthouse view. We wanted just a short walk so that was perfect. The rest of the walk looked like it would be lovely too. Moderate hills every now and then.

The trail is very well kept and the scenery is stunning with a lot of vantage points and benches along the way. It's a fairly easy walk so anyone who is in reasonably good condition should be able to enjoy it.

I personally would not miss this hike. It takes you right along the edge of the coast and some of the scenery is jaw dropping amazing. If you want to have some extra fun, get a paper that shows the common slug species and see how many of them you can spot on the hike.(My favorite was the banana slug)... More
