Overlooking Barkley Sound and the Broken Group Islands to the east and the open Pacific Ocean to the south and west, it offers spectacular shoreline panoramas and seaward vistas through ancient cedar and spruce-framed viewing platforms constructed on the best headlands along the route. « less

The Wild Pacific trail is not yet one continuous trail but is several smaller trails that will hopefully be linked some day, the trails vary in length as well as level of difficulty but are pretty much accessible to anyone that is able to go on a good walk with some hills and stair involved, the reward is the awesome... Fantastic trail along the foreshore of the Pacific Rim. Relatively easy walking for most people of reasonable fitness level.

We hiked a large part of this trail one day. Despite the pouring rain we really enjoyed it. It's not too challenging and treats you to beautiful scenery. My only complaint is that it needs more bathrooms!

Eventually, the Wild Pacific Trail will go all the way from Ucluelet to Tofino. At the present time, there are various loops and hikes available, not all of which are yet connected. I did the Lighthouse Loop, the Cedar Groves Loop, and the Rain Forest loop. All are beautiful in their own way. The lighthouse loop goes around a lighthouse... More

We easily walked this 2.5 km trail. The views are breathtaking with several benches to stop and take it all in. If you are in the area, make every effort to visit. You won’t be disappointed.

There are numerous spectacular overlooks all along this trail. Portions of the trail have amazing twisted trees that reminded me of the monkey trees in the Wizard of Oz. The lighthouse portion of the trail opens up to a beautiful secluded beach right on the point of the peninsula while the north portion of the trail winds past beautiful rocky... More

This is a great trail for families or people looking for quick access to the west coastline. The trails are well laid out and maintained. Nice view of the Broken Islands. The forest that lines the trail is beautiful. For the full west coast experience I would recommend that you don't miss this and it doesn't cost you anything even... More

This is a must-see attraction in Ucluelet. The trails are well maintained and relatively easy to walk. You have the combination of beautiful forest with interesting trees that lean in, and then there's ocean and big black rocks and tide pools as you walk. And of course, there's the lighthouse. We also heard the fog horn which added to the... More

No matter what time of year, this trail offers some breathtaking views. I am privileged to walk here almost daily and always discover something new in the forest or on the ocean. It's beautifully maintained and there's no fee for parking or use. It's also very accessible for most walkers.
