Overlooking Barkley Sound and the Broken Group Islands to the east and the open Pacific Ocean to the south and west, it offers spectacular shoreline panoramas and seaward vistas through ancient cedar and spruce-framed viewing platforms constructed on the best headlands along the route. « less

Well-maintained and easily accessible trails through ancient rainforests, with stunning views out to the Pacific. A few small climbs on the trails but mostly flat, near the coast line. We walked both sections of the trails in calm summer weather - would also have loved to see the trails in windier weather to watch the sea in action.

There is a slightly different angle of each magnificent few at many observation points every 100 metres or so. Many choices for parking. Trails are easily accessible, well marked and maintained. Make sure you walk both sections and the "Artist Loops". Triple the estimated completion times because they don't include the many stops.

It is an easy trail that has so many beautiful spots. Best enjoyed during storm season when the waves are giant.

Easy hike after dinner on the Lighthouse part of the trail. Great views and show of fauna - tree tunnels and twisted trees.

Great views and easy walking but certain areas could do with better marking. Got confusing around Black Rock Resort.

Walked the Lighthouse Trail several times as our accommodations were nearby. Absolutely stunning views along a well-maintained trail.

It's a must du in Ucluelet. especially at sunset. You can park easily and do the round walk for one hour ou go directly by car near the lighthouse to just go see the sunset.

Good photo ops - especially early morning or near sunset. I enjoyed the Lighthouse Loop a lot. I didn't find the forest portion of the trail very interesting so start at the parking lot as the brochure suggests, go past the lighthouse, double back when the trail turns dark into the forest and take the Coast Guard Drive back to... A great collection of trails in and around Ucluelet. Portions take you through the rain forest and along the coast. Easy hikes for a wide variety of people. Definitely check out the lighthouse loop.

A lovely walk, that is very manageable. A camera is a must, and time to wander off the main trail to explore.
