Owner description: The Wild Pacific Trail is located in Ucluelet and is a seven phase trail system skirting the rugged cliffs and shoreline of the west coast of Vancouver Island. Overlooking Barkley Sound and the Broken Group Islands to the east and the open Pacific Ocean to the south and west, it offers spectacular shoreline panoramas and seaward vistas through ancient cedar and spruce-framed viewing platforms constructed on the best headlands along the route.

The Wild Pacific Trail is the perfect trail for an enjoyable, easy walk by the ocean. It's built along a wild, rocky stretch of coast that was previously inaccessible to the general public. Every camera pic looks like a postcard! The trail is gravel and wide enough you could even bring a stroller. There are multiple entry points along the... More

WOW! The views blow your mind, one fantastic cove to the next. Great walk thats hard to decide which view is better, the shoaling waters pounding the black rocks or the haunting beauty of the old growth forest covered in moss. Not a grueling hike but a nice bit of exercise.

We walk the Lighthouse loop when ever we are in Ucluelet. It take about an hour (allowing for stops for pictures) and has good views of the coast. This year we also walked from Brown's Bay to the Ancient Cedar loop (45 min- an hour one way). Both portions of the Trail are well maintained with many ocean viewing areas.... More

The Wild Pacific Trail is magnificent. We walked as a family, old and young all at our own pace. The 3 year old ran the entire trail, his parents chased after him. We oldies stopped to enjoy the waves, the shoreline, the trees, the beauty of it all.

The beaches of Pacific Rim National Park are well known for their beauty and their surfing. But, to see the power of the waves, the best places are along the Wild Pacific trail. The trail is accessed from Ucluelet, and is well sign-posted and easy to find. There are two main sections to the trail, the Lighthouse loop and the... More

We went to the beginning of the trail- lighthouse trail, it worth every photo opportunity! The storm crushing on the rocks, stunning vie walk. May sure you wear rain jackets instead of umbrella which was useless in our case.

We were on a driving/motel holiday in Canada , we knew very little about the west of the country but had looked on the map and decided to head for Vancouver Island and Torino and hopefully go Whale watching . The main ferry to the island was full so we drove up the coast to Powell River and cross there... More
