When we were first in Ucluelet we took in the old aquarium - the excitement of the staff was insane...in a good way!! We knew they were raising funds for a new building and 5 years later upon our return to this lovely little community - there it was, complete in all its glory!! Lovely new "digs" in a great... More

Although I found the aquarium fascinating, I think it would be even more interesting for children. The handling tanks are great

Nice little catch & release aquarium at the government dock. It is well-signed and nicely laid out. Not too expensive & good place for kids on a rainy day.

Small and compact but don't let that worry you. Staff all excellent. If you are in Ucluelet if you have kids a must do. Well done.

The aquarium is great. They catch the exhibits each year and release them again at the end of the season. They constantly change/add more and its more of a conservation attraction than simply and aquarium. Don't go expecting to see the large mamals. That's what the day trips are for. You will however see all the other little creatures you... More

This is a "home town" little aquarium, but the fact that they release all of the creatures every autumn is what drew me to support them with a visit. The Pacific Octopus was the star of the show!

A great place to chill for an hour. The displays are interesting and informative, giving hands on opportunities with lots of local sea creatures. The volunteers were patient, kind and spent a long time answering questions from our children, so they really enjoyed the visit. There is a relax corner which was great for a look out to sea to... This is not a huge aquarium with whale shows it is however a good place to take the kids young and old to have a look at what lives beneath the local waters, they have touch pools and the marine creatures are only kept for a short period of time then release back into the wild.
