We visited this attraction with an 18 month old, who was thrilled to be able to dabble his hands in the touch pools. We enjoyed watching the octopus, and feeding time. The very good thing is that all the fish are "just visiting" and returned to the place where they were collected. It is a community run aquarium, celebrating what... More

We visited the aquarium to try and escape the rain, but were really glad we did! Staff were very friendly and helpful, and the aquarium is nicely laid out with lots of touchpools that were fun even for us adults. Good amount of information, and nice to learn about the local sealife.

We were a little hesitant on checking out the aquarium but we were down by the dock looking at the sea lions and thought we would give it a shot. Immediately, the high school volunteer was appreciative of us coming in and full of interesting information. Love that this is a catch and release, and a non profit aquarium. Small... More

The Aquarium had been recommended to us and we weren't disappointed It is well located in downtown Ukee and looks out over the water The fish and other creatures are released back into the ocean after a few weeks It is a non profit operation with clear community involvement

We were pleasantly surprised at the small, but very informative Aquarium. It is not large, but we spent over an hour there. The marine biologist was a fount of information, a very pleasant girl, who took the time to explain all of our questions, and we had many. It was scrupulously clean, and very well laid out , we were... More

It was pouring rain on that day and we found a nice little place to eat. The waitress was kind and helpful, very proudly she recommended they’re aquarium. I smiled and thought to myself “Vancouver has an aquarium!!” We went there after lunch thinking it’s dry in there…. So what a surprise!!! I grew up on the west coast and... More

Not a huge facility but very interesting. This is not just a display; it's a working facility with a purview of sustaining and growing sea life and species

We loved that you were able to touch some of the sea creatures, and that they are all found locally and returned to the water after their time at the aquarium. The water supply system is very interesting. Sometimes the water was a bit hard to see though but it is because it comes straight from the ocean which is... More

At first when I read there was an aquarium in Ucluelet I didn't want to go near it because I figured it would be a sad attempt at bringing in tourists in this small town. But ooh how wrong was I! After a fellow backpacker recommended it to us, we decided we had to go check it out. The most... More

The Ucluelet Aquarium is very much recommended due to the way it sources it's attractions. The fee to get in was probably about right given you could come and go all day. We were, after washing our hand, allowed to touch some of the beasties. I wasn't so brave as wriggly things...euch... The Sea Lions kept popping up outside to... More
