A Wedding Ceremony on the Island

The boat ride was incredible. The wedding couple had the best service, delicious food. The skipper and wife absolute provided a stunning day. No hurry, No rush.

We've been out with these wonderful hosts twice. They were part of the attraction to Vancouver Island when we came across from the UK for our holidays. Had fantastic wildlife watching tours both times. We didn't actually see whales either time, but there's a close network with other boats to share sightings. We'd highly recommend Archipelago Cruises to anyone!

After researching which tour to date we chose to go with Al and Toddy and I am so glad we did. They were the loveliest couple who certainly knew what they were doing. From the fun but professional way they went over the safety rules to the so knowledgeable facts about the wildlife and the area we couldn't have been... More

Al and Toddy are excellent hosts who clearly love what they do. They're extremely knowledgeable about the area and provide a wealth of information and entertaining commentary for the duration of the trip. The scenery is absolutely breathtaking and more than made up for the fact that we didn't actually see any whales. We received advance notice that whale sightings... More

We visited Canada for the first time in 2011 and this trip was one of the highlights of that visit, so when we decided to visit Canada again this year this trip was at the top of our to do list. This is not just a wildlife tour the scenery is stunning with your hosts Alan and Toddy adding to... More

First off, this is a very nice wildlife tour and we thoroughly enjoyed it. However, it's a little bit naughty that it's still marketed as a whale watching tour, as no grey whales have been seen on this trip for 2 years, and killer whales and humpbacks seem equally as rare. We had already been to Telegraph Cove and seen... More

Thank you for writing and the many nice comments. We are sorry you are under the impression that we have not seen whales for two years. Clearly this is a misunderstanding and we would like to apologise for not explaining it more clearly. Early in the season we saw Gray whales about a third of the time, later we saw... More

I use the words "tag team" because Toddy and Al work so well together. They complement each other in the service they provide their customers and in the information they share. We wanted mostly to see bears and whales; we saw one of the former and zero of the latter. However, this doesn't matter because the experience of the trip... More

My girl friends and i booked a trip with Archipelago Cruises in Ucluelet with Toddy and Al Landry and had a fantastic day. The trip was highlighted by great scenery, service and entertainment with Al's stories. Both Al and Toddy were fabulous hosts and attended to everyone's needs.Their knowledge of the area plus their interesting facts of the area added... More

This is a first class boat tour of Barclay Sound and the Broken Group Islands. The area is teaming with wildlife and the experienced crew gets you up and close to all sort of sealife and birds - seals, sea lions, otters, bald eagles, and a wealth of other marine life. Although we didn't see any whales or bears on... More

This was a 6 hr cruise of the Broken Islands in Barkley Sound, lunch was included. About 20 people on board a very comfortable boat, not a fishing vessel. They also live on the boat & started the tour with "Welcome to our home!" They gave a very informative talk all during the cruise. Their prior experience as commercial fishers... More
