We were three couples from Iceland/Canada who thoroughly enjoyed this trip out into the Broken islands Group. on a very nice vessel with great hosts, great food and above all plenty of beautiful nature and wildlife, a pleasant guiding attitude and lots of information. One is made to feel like an old friend by the skipper and his/her co-skipper.........

Toddy and Al, really put their hearts into giving people a special experience of the wildlife and history of the area. Every day is different on the ocean and we have been enjoyed this tour twice already and would do it again!

September 16, 2014 we cruised through the Broken Islands Group out of Ucluelet aboard the Rain Coast Maiden. Co-Captains Al and Toddy were welcoming, down-to-earth and perfect hosts. We received an ongoing dialogue of interesting tidbits about what we were viewing be it flora, fauna, wildlife, history of the region or native lore. The scenery is other-worldly in its beauty... "Welcome to our home!" said Toddy and Al as ten of us boarded their beautiful 52' cruising home. They are the perfect hostesses...They share their love of the Ucluelet/Broken Island area, their knowledge of the wildlife and lots of entertaining stories. We've never had such clear instructions on how to adjust binoculars! The scenery was spectacular...sure it would have been... More

On a foggy day in Ucluelet, BC, Alan and Toddy Landry, our hosts, worked very hard to make sure we were able to see the Broken Islands. Through fog banks and some poor conditions, they made our cruise a wonderful, beautiful adventure. The gourmet meal was served on deck with a view of the islands. Terrific! You will never find... We had an excellent time on a cruise that almost didn't happen due to fog. Luckily for us the fog lifted enough to brave the misty afternoon. What a magical time cruising through the Broken Island Group. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Ucluelet or Tofino.

Al & Toddy are wonderful, friendly, and welcoming hosts! The boat is comfortable and well-appointed. The lunch provided was excellent, and served out on little tables on the deck while we were anchored in a beautiful, calm cove. We had a great time – Al's stories were hilarious, but we still learned a lot about the wildlife! We did get... More

Small group, comfortable fly-bridge launch, knowledgeable owners and gourmet lunch. Do this and travel in comfort,- do not even consider alternatives !

Alan & Toddy are so welcoming, their boat is lovely, lunch was delicious and the setting for it - a quiet cove - was pure bliss. Although we didn't see whales, we thoroughly enjoyed the cruise and highly recommend it -- truly the best part of our great vacation. (Perfect weather was icing on the cake!)

Excellent communication by email before the trip. The cruiser is beautifully maintained and visitors were made very welcome on board. The owners did their very best to ensure a comfortable and enjoyable trip. My friend and I had booked the vegetarian meal in advance and this was lovely. We saw black bears, Californian sea lions, Stellar seals, a Sea Otter,... More
