We are so lucky to have this beautiful setting a half an hour away! It's a lovely spot for a picnic, quiet walk around the pond, taking the dogs swimming and/or just relaxing and taking in all the beauty of nature. It becomes even more magical at night with no light pollution to mask the spectacular night skies and Milky... More

This is a great place to spend the day or the weekend. Beautiful backdrop with toilet facilities close by. The parks obviously look after this area very well.

It is a beautiful place close to Calgary, perfect spot for relaxing, picknicing for families with/without kids. We were looking for a place where you can swim, but this lake is too cold. It is a beautiful mountain little lake, but definitely not for swimming.

Motorized boat not allowed. What I meant is an inflatable boat. Your kids will love it. I even saw scuba divers there. This pond is big enough to be called a little lake. We all love it. Pack a lunch and make it into a picnic for the family.

We fell in love with this pond years ago when the kids were younger. It is a nice drive out in the mountains, not to far from Calgary and a great little spot to relax for the day or afternoon. We often took firewood, the hot dogs and marshmallows and had them over the fire. This year, our younger daughter... More

This was a sweet little spot. As we visited in October, it was too cold to swim but my friend told me that in summer-time it's a great spot to swim. It's a popular venue to learn to scuba dive and there is a plaque at the bottom of the pond to commemorate a police officer who was an avid... More

Nice and quiet area to visit. Not far from Calgary. Beautiful scenery. Lots of washrooms. Great waking trails.

Beautiful spot. Quiet, serene and off the beaten path. It's a small lake with a pathway that goes all the way around. Picnic tables for family picnics. But get there early because there are only a handful of tables.

Yes, it is quaint & quiet but for what it offers it's way too far. It is very small. There is no fish in the pond. The only thing you can do is walk around it. There are other lakes nearby, and closer to Bragg Creek which offer much more to the outdoor type. Especially if you have younger children.

I came across the pond by accident last year when I was doing a scenic drive for photo opportunities. Beautiful large tranquil pond, absolutely deserted on a beautiful midweek September morning, and glorious reflections of the freshly snow-capped mountains. It's a day use area with picnic tables and I think it's about a 2.5-3km walk around the lake - flat... More
