Great for a day trip of hiking and a picnic. Just outside of the city. Don't forget to bring the bug spray if it's warm.

Very well laid out paths for walking around the falls. You can see them for a few elevations, that let you see a natural wonder from every angle. it is also lined with picnic tables and fire pits. this is a great place to take the family for a day out in the wilderness. Also, has many trails in the... More

Perfect place for anyone looking to get some fresh air and enjoy a nice hike while taking in the scenery. Elbow Falls get's very busy on the weekend, so be sure to get there early in order to get a parking spot (limited parking available), Don't forget your camera!

The drive to elbow falls is as impressive as the recreational area, therefore the whole experience is just that much better. A great place to go and relax. However, if you are going in the summer months and on the weekend be prepared to deal with large crowds

For anyone wanting to see lovely scenery not far from Calgary this is it. The drive through the country side will give you an appreciation of the best Alberta has to offer. One word of caution: Stay away from the river banks during spring runoff in May and June especially. The water looks great, but it flows quite rapidly and... More

Elbow Falls is a great place to take folks who have seen Banff and are in want for more. We like to stop in Bragg Creek for lunch during the week with visitors as it's never busy. Great for a quick outing. If they want to experience western life take them to the Powderhorn Saloon.

Another "in our own backyard" day trip that we do frequently all year round. it's fun to take the dogs out for a walk by the falls and sometimes we take a pack of hotdogs and make a picnic out of it.
