We came out from Calgary to give this park a try. It wasn't at all practical for a family with young children. The picnic area is very separated from the water. We had to eat lunch and then pack up and go down to the creek rather than set up and stay in one spot for the day. It's only... More

Tried to go to a couple litttle parks around Calgary today. Everything was so busy could not even find a place to park. Drove out to this lttle park in Bragg Creek and it was quite nice. Although damaged by the floods of 2013 the picnic area was still there. Walked to the river & enjoyed the little hiking trail... More

We set up tent in the Gooseberry Campground in the last available site on a Friday night. We anticipated some noise as the campsite was directly up against the highway...and a cattle guard, but expected the passing vehicles on Highway 66 would be reduced to a minimum throughout the night. What we didn't expect is that we would have a... More

Nice place for family picnics and small hikes. Do Alder Trail or down to the river and around. The trail along the River is not well marked and was damaged by the flood but is still doeable./

Bragg Creek is a little Hamlet about a 30 minutes drive from Calgary, but you feel like you are in the wilderness. Lots of quaint stores and restaurants to visit. If you take a drive thru the residential area you'll be surprised by the amount of antique stores that are run out of some very beautiful old homes. Bragg Creek... More

It was a very nice place to hike and to enjoy picnic with family and friends... Try to bring bags for the garbage so that the place can be maintained. We have seen garbages on the creek side and picked them up... So sad that some people do not care much on their surroundings!

Bragg Creek is near enough to Calgary to enjoy an afternoon outing, or just a quick trip for ice-cream! Winter and summer offers many activities, including hiking, skiing, and camping nearby. Also a great motorcycle gathering place in the summer, especially on the weekend. The village has some nice shops and eateries.

We stopped in to see what was here while on our way to Elbow Falls. We ended up staying the whole afternoon because it was so gorgeous . It's not crowded at all and peaceful. Only the sound of the creek could be heard and picnic tables are set up along the ridge overlooking the creek. There are many short... More

Weather you're into the outdoors and hiking or just want to go for a scenic drive Bragg Creek is great. The Cinnamon Spoon cafe is a must while you're there.
