One of the best attractions I have visited in Canada. A very beautiful centre which provides a great facility for the wolf dogs. Staff are friendly and provide great knowledge. The dogs are beautiful and the closest thing you could get to a real wolf. Feeding the wolfdogs in the enclosure is amazing. They are such calm animals, to be... More

We recently visited the Yambuska WolfDog Sanctuary and had an amazing time. We were put inside a large wolf dog enclosure with a pack of 5 large wolf digs and the guide. The guide was extremely knowledgable and gave us all hanfuls of treats to feed the wolf dogs. A couple were quite brave and would eat from your hand... More

The wolf dog sanctuary was an awesome experience getting to be up close and personal with wolf dogs and being able to pet them and feed them. The only down side is being so restricted to your chair and sadly no puppies. Definitely worth checking it out it's something so different and cool. It's not for people who are uncomfortable... This was the definitive highlight of our entire trip to Alberta. The guide was very knowledgeable and provided good information about the wolfdogs; I asked her more detailed questions about the genetics behind it, and she had an answer for every question. It was neat feeding the wolfdogs and being able to interact with them up-close. She demonstrated their calculating... More

I decided to do this on the way to Banff and it definitely did not disappoint. I went into it having no idea what a wolf dog was, but the guide was very knowledgeable and answered our questions along the way, which made it feel more interactive rather than just having information spouted at us. It was well worth the... More

The visiting arrangements seem a little bit complicated as you have to book it via a third part in banff who take your credit card payments. Not everyone has a credit card and not everyone can afford 40 dollars for 45 mins visit. The third party gave us a cross street location where they said they'd meet us and take... More

If you've ever been curious about wolves and wanted to see one close up or if you're a dog lover, Yamnuska Wolfdog Sanctuary will be an enjoyable outing for you. The sanctuary has a small pack of wolf-dog mixes who vary in how much wolf they gave in them. At least two of the animals when we visited were high... More

First of all A HUGE CUDOS go out to the staff and people who love these wonderful animals. They are constantly giving them love and try to have them adopted or fostered, but make sure the people who take them in are fully aware of their needs. The knowledge of Georgina, our host goes beyond wolves so we were able to question her on... I took my husband here for his birthday but I was a little worried that the experience would be lame. However, we were not disappointed. Georgina took us into the wolfdog enclosure, where we sat down in chairs. At that point, two of the wolfdogs came and socialized with us. These two were the low and medium content wolfdogs, not... This place was a real eye opener and well worth the time to visit. Georgina is an inspiration and people like her are wonderful, she does an amazing job. You learn a lot about these wolves and also the damage of trying to cross breed with domestic dogs. We loved it, learnt a lot and have recommended it to many... More
