On a spectacular, sunny, May morning we suited up in red floatation gear & sun glasses & boarded an inflatable hull boat(IHB) for a 2 hr. Sewell's Sea Safari Eco-tour up Howe Sound, Canada's longest southern fjord. "Personality Plus" guides Darryn & Julian pointed out on Christie Island & Pam Rocks, Harbour Seals & their furry pups, large black &... More

Had a wonderful day out on the Sound today with our captain Eric (I believe was his name). He was very knowledgeable about the surrounding areas as well as the wildlife we encountered which consisted of many species of birds and marine animals. The boat itself was amazingly stable as getting seasick was a minor concern of mine but that... More

For many years we have made it a tradition to go down to Horeshoe Bay to Sewell's and rent a small boat for a few hours. We follow the cost up Howe Sound and explore the nooks and crannies, then head over to the sealion rocks and staying at a respectufl distance watch the harbour seals and wonderful marine birds,... Thank-you Maggie M for your review, yesterday afternoon with the sun shinning it sure felt like summer was fast approaching. We have a selection of boats available to rent now and some of our winter boaters have been entertained by eagles catching salmon out of the water, Harbour Porpoises cruising along and the seals are starting to climb out of... Sewell's offers a pretty good deal on boat rentals and the scenery you see in Howe Sound will blow anything away that you get around Granville Island. Drive the extra distance and get a truely West Coast experience!

If you want to catch some salmon, make sure you book a trip with Mike Speed - one of the most knowledgeable guides out there! If there are fish in the local waters, he will make sure you catch them.

We took a boat for rent and spent 2 hours driving around islands and enjoying sun, ocean, and fresh air. Also you can experience seals quite close. They have their own small island only 10 min from marina.

If you are looking for a Canadian West Coast experience full of excitement, entertainment, knowledge and FUN, then Sewell's Sea Safari could be for you. It is two hours of breathtakingly spectacular views combined with thrills, fresh air and magnificence. We loved that everything was done for us, except for putting on the floater suits (which they have for all... More

Being a quadriplegic and not having any upper body strength, I was a bit hesitant to try the Sea Safari. I been skydiving, hot-air ballooning, dune bashing in the desert, and lots more and am always willing to try thrilling excursions. I am so glad I did. With the help of my friend and Darren, I was tied in to... More

What a perfect day! The day was warm...the sky blue, clear...the water quiet...and there we were racing down Howe sound doing water donuts and 90° turns. When we hit wakes or mild swells it almost felt like class III white water rafting. Not a milquetoast crawling cruise. Although there are numerous stops for sea life, landmarks, ect. You will be... We live in North Vancouver and for years had wanted to do Sewell's 'Eco Safari', finally did it last weekend. It was terrific. Our guide/boata driver (Darren? Darrell?) was very friendly, boat not crowded, left on time, very fun interesting trip up to Brittania Beach and back, all very on-time and professional. They provide survival suits which on the one... More
