Finding amusement for my 8 and 12 year old grandsons is always a challenge. My wife had a suggestion from a friend to visit the Stewart Heritage Farm which is a free attraction but accepts voluntary donations.. We packed a picnic basket with sandwiches, salad, pop, and chicken and set off. It was a resounding success with the boys. The... More

one could spend a lovely day visiting the farm, attending a tour and then explore the surroundings on the river on one's own - ending with a picnic in the park.... bring the kids.....

I perfectly authentic heritage farm. The people working there are dressed in the period it was at its best. They are well educated in the history of the farm and the house. Hearing the tales or what it was like to live in the heyday of the farm is so interesting and totally fascinating. The upkeep and restoration of the... More

Old school and was treated like a queen. It was a beautiful day, beautiful scenery and wonderful, attentive staff. My mother's day was the best!

One of our favourite places to have a picnic is the wide open spaces on the farm land. Lots of surrounding walks for nature hikes and dog walks. Lots of displayed history information and one of the oldest original strains of BC apples trees found on the farm orchard. One great place to launch a paddle boat and take a... More

This farm tells the story of how our early pioneers lived in Surrey. Besides the iconic Stewart farm house, the park has an original barn and several outbuildings. There is also a weaving center and a marina in the river. This park is on Crescent Beach Road just off highway 99 in Surrey, BC

I grew up having field trips here, and have returned on field trips with my children. The best is going at Christmas when the farmhouse is decorated for the season. I have also had family photos done on the grounds, and they turned out beautifully.
